Gonzalez Cannon ("Come & take it!")

Does anyone know the caliber of this cannon? Looks tiny, maybe one inch just by guessing.
Depends on who you ask.
Per Texas State Historical Society: https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/gonzales-come-and-take-it-cannon
the 'main' gun was a six-pounder, which in British use was 56-58mm bore (around 2 inches).
There was a second gun, an esmeril, a one-pounder (UK measurement would be 35-39mm, a bit over one inch).

Both of the original guns were meant to be swivel mounted (in Spanish use that was lashed/strapped to a wooden stock set upon an iron bail). That's why the carriages in Texas use were so crude and small.

However, having the ability to throw six pounds (or one pound) of musket balls at those who offend you can create a significant emotional event for those on the receiving end--which is nothing to sneeze at.
