What's Your Favorite 9mm Pistol to Shoot?

My Gen 5 Glock 19 is hands down the one I’d pick if thrust into any serious situation where a handgun was necessary. I trust it. I like it. It’s my easy button for defensive pistol. Move on in life.

A second pistol that I like a lot, but it doesn’t edge my Glock 19 is either my Beretta 92 or 92A1. Also excellent pistols.

There are a few but my favorite is probably my Browning Highpower Competion model. But my Walter P-88 and Sig 228 are also fun and accurate.

Shooting a Steyr GB was physically comfortable. Reliability issues made it a short term relationship. Baretta 92s was also pleasant in your hand and reliable. Both guns were difficult to conceal. Picked up a P7PSP IB which was my carry gun for several decades. Glock19 was my favorite range gun. It replaced the P7 as a carry gun.

Huh, first time Ive heard of a GB being unreliable.

I still kinda want one for a range toy. Also still want a Colt All-American cuz Im twisted like that. :D

One of my favorite is owned by a fellow who provided the the ammo and does the cleaning.

It's a CZ Parrot. What a joy that this is.
No doubt. If you've never shot one you will just not understand. EDC? No, PDW? No. Allowed in all the different competitions? Yup! Just an awesome gun. Super custom out of the box.

My Walther P-1. It was the first 9mm I owned, and is still the most accurate for precision shooting. It just feels right in the hand for some reason.

I try to keep the round count low as the service life is finite with the aluminum frame. I also like the way the spent cases bounce off the brim of my hat.

Same with the P4. However, without a hat the brass goes down my shirt. Lots of little springs too.

M43 Firestar.

The Firestar M43 is very nice shooting especially after putting 50 or more rounds through the Firestar M40 (40S&W) first. I never have both sitting on teh range table at the same time. Yes I have shot one 9mm round through the M40. I knew instantly what I did.

The smoothest shooting 9mm pistols I have is my 1911 and my Polymer80 940CL frame with a G34 slide on it. Though shooting my G43 and Sig P938 aren't bad at all. I just get faster follow up shots with the 1911 and 940CL-G34. The Kel-Tec PF9 hasn't left the safe in quite a few years since getting the Sig P938.

S&W 639 is so heavy the recoil is like a 22LR
That one wins the "cool" factor by a mile.
