How do you resist urge to buy new piece?

Easier than you think. No money, no gun. Much easier now than ever though. I came to realize for all the guns i had, I didnt shoot quite a few, and just as many I had no "attachment" to. I had a few long time wants...I wanted to get my vintage HD back on the road, and have always wanted a quality flintlock long rifle. Firearms are selling for an incredibly stupid premium right now. I thinned out the closet, tok them to an auction house I have worked with before, and made a killing. The bike is back on the road and I have my long rifle, as well as upgrading my black powder shooting set up. Nowadays, sure I have a list of guns I would like, but I have also realized that the more I have does not increase the enjoyment I get out of them. That comes with the shooting. With recent difficulties in obtaining centerfire supplies, I can shoot my black powder firearms as much as I want with no difficulty at all getting supplies.

I do not resist. Resistance is futile. Funny, though, looking for advice on that subject here is akin to asking the bartender how to quit drinking.

So i made a reasonable decision not to spend money on more or less colectors gun (Beretta M71)..

Those are the ones to buy, as they tend to appreciate in value. Should it come to you needing the money after all, you can usually get it back.
