Picked up a couple of climbing tree stands today. Looked like a copy of the Summit Viper. $50@. Summits start at $250.

I've seen a few climbing tree stands and a few with stairs or ladders, but they wanted almost new prices for them. I don't go vertical very often been real successful on the ground.

The last time I was in a tree stand, we had heavy fog that morning. I could hear the deer under neath me but the fog was so thick you could hardly see your hand when your arm was extended. Never got up in a tree stand since.

I put in orders at Lee, midsouth shooters supply, and numrich this weekend. At the Lee site I ordered springs, ball bearings, internal plastic parts and champher debur heads for the quick trimmer half of those were free. At midsouth I ordered 3 Lee trim dies 223, 7mm08, 3006 as well as 250 hornandy 62 gr bthp. Finally I oredred an a1 triangle handguard cap, chamber brushes and a front sight tool. It's been a busy weekend .

Went to some sales yesterday but didn't find any gun related items.

Was at an estate sale the other day, and dug an old, dusty, unfamiliar to me, red, substantial, single stage press out of a box of bits and pieces under a table. Asked the guy for a price, he replied, "whatta ya give me?', and I took it home for $15. Turned out to be a CH Magnum press in great shape. They're still in business, so I ordered a couple small parts to update for modern shell holders, and it's been a work horse.

I'm 70 years old and still climb trees, but unlike my younger years I now wear a safety harness.
As a telephone tech I climbed phone poles. I acquired a spare set of hooks and a light belt. I’d climb a tree and set up a small platform seat. Gun was hauled up by rope once I settled in. After a few years I gave that up in favor of a ladder stand.

Many thanks go out to my enabler wife who told me that there was reloading tools on Craigslist. Scored a Lyman Spartan c press, a little bit neglected but functional, Lyman 3006 doe set, rcbs 303 Brit for set, a couple boxes of brass 30-30, 303 Brit, and an rcbs balance beam scale.plus dome extra Lyman die parts. Drove a half an hour and only paid 100.00. IMG_20210824_153709.jpg IMG_20210824_153632.jpg IMG_20210824_153610.jpg IMG_20210824_153206.jpg

dipper.jpg My Mom found these for me 20 years ago at a garage sale, I had no idea she knew what I was doing. One time she wagged home some Plastic cube thingies and said I might be able to hold my shells in it...I still use them...I found some Remington Molly coated .223 bullets and some powder at an estate sale.

Haven't been to a garage sale in years but I did score a box of various reloading equip off Craigslist once. Person listed the whole 'lot' for $40 and I was pretty sure I seen a Co-Ax press in there. Sure enough, $40 later and I owned a Co-Ax. I sold a Lee melting pot that was in there and made my $ back plus some.

I don't know man, $100 is alot for those rusty things.

Press is mostly surface rust, most rubbed off with a rag and gun oil. Seems pretty tight, took it apart and cleaned it up. Figure that 2 new die sets and a scale is over that retail.

Nice, there a good basic scale. I never see anything on Craigslist in time. The press should clean up good.

It's cast aluminum I believe, and doesn't move arround as much as my 505 does.
