Testing some new loads at 25 yards (did not go well) and had 5 left over so decided to shoot at 7 yards.
Nearly perfect group ruined by one flyer. Frustrating!

That is a great group you shot. What is the bullet, powder and powder charge and primer used?
I shot 4 different loads at 25 yards and wasn't happy with any of them...
Might I suggest trying AA#7 and see how that does @25 yards. I'm thinking you will be happy. (unfortunately HS-7 is no more)
My 25 yd shooting is very similar to yours! My 7 yd shooting is not as good as yours! However, I don't think I can blame the powder, bullet, case or weapon. I think I'll just say it was a windy day!!!! It seems like I'm at the range regularly on very windy days!!!!
Got into handloading 10mm about 5 years ago and have since burned up about 5lb. of Bluedot, giving Bluedot a whole new niche. A powder that was once just average at best, or in some cases (No pun intended) just scary or unpredictable. "Flaming dirt" runs awesome in 10s and super uniform, powerful and accurate. It used to sit on store shelves because nobody wanted it.In 10mm, Blue Dot is my go-to powder for accuracy, Longshot for pushing velocity, and #9 for in-between. I like to shoot 5-shot groups at 15yds offhand, but I still get a flyer more often than I'd like.
good shooting! if you were perfect there would be no need to come back and try again.

I've found longshot to get the same velocities or slightly higher, and also doesn't bulge the cases as badly. I do care about brass more and more these days!!
