Nearly perfect group.

With rifles I'm usually real solid with my first 3, then almost always toss one of the next two.

Why I mostly just use 3 as a "group" :)

That is a great group you shot. What is the bullet, powder and powder charge and primer used?

180 grain Hornady XTP with 8.4 grains of Ramshot Silhouette. The 7 yard grouping was impressive, but the 25 yard performance was less so.

I shot 4 different loads at 25 yards and wasn't happy with any of them...

I've never even seen that powder locally when we did have powder for sale. I like trying new powders, but the only one for sale currently is Lil' Gun.

Just did 4 new loads last night using Unique and WSF, so hopefully will have time this week to see how they do.

I've been enjoying fairly tight groups using Alliant Power Pistol for my 10mm using Eastwood powder-coated 175gr truncated cone cast bullets (wheel weights). Good to see other powders are winners too.

My 25 yd shooting is very similar to yours! My 7 yd shooting is not as good as yours! However, I don't think I can blame the powder, bullet, case or weapon. I think I'll just say it was a windy day!!!! It seems like I'm at the range regularly on very windy days!!!!

My range is actually windy nearly every time I shoot, but it comes out of the West and is at my back, so no excuse, except for it moving the target back and forth.

I went to the range yesterday to evaluate a couple of .22s for grouse hunting. Goal was to see which was able to consistently hit an inch circle at 15 yards offhand. I hadn't eaten anything except a couple of cups of coffee and just couldn't do it. Never used to have that issue before. Now, being fat and out of shape, it is much harder to be accurate, I've noticed.

In 10mm, Blue Dot is my go-to powder for accuracy, Longshot for pushing velocity, and #9 for in-between. I like to shoot 5-shot groups at 15yds offhand, but I still get a flyer more often than I'd like.

Got into handloading 10mm about 5 years ago and have since burned up about 5lb. of Bluedot, giving Bluedot a whole new niche. A powder that was once just average at best, or in some cases (No pun intended) just scary or unpredictable. "Flaming dirt" runs awesome in 10s and super uniform, powerful and accurate. It used to sit on store shelves because nobody wanted it.
I've found longshot to get the same velocities or slightly higher, and also doesn't bulge the cases as badly. I do care about brass more and more these days!!

I fired three more 10mm loads using Blue Dot and was not all that impressed. Except with the excessive recoil and flame. But, the load with 200 grain XTPs was not bad, recoil wise. And it was the most accurate with the KKM barrel.
