Y'all are making me want to load some ammo. I received a bunch of bullets from MBC last month and just barely broke the seals.

Poper, you asked if your 45ACP loads have to be re-worked if you go to coated bullets. I find my loads did not need to be changed one little bit upon the introduction of coated bullets.

You really don't want to buy bullets of any kind on those reseller sites unless you are desperate and can't find stock. Montana Gold, RMR and Precision Delta have jacketed bullets of various kinds for 9¢ or less when purchased in bulk..

I stand corrected. I'm not sure why I went to Midway USA to quote a price especially since I buy jacketed bullets from RMR.

Do they tailor the BHN for your own request? The 400 gr 500 mag they sell is 18 BHN, good for 24,000 psi loads. For 40,000 psi loads which I use H110 for, 31 BHN would be needed
20 Bhn is the highest I see them offering. Have you considered gas-checked bullets?

They won’t. But you can order uncoated and unsized.
Unique or a trail boss might be suitable for this application though.

I mostly blame all y'all.
Here's a bunch of 158 grain " .357 Action-GL" still in the press.
Batches of .357 Magnum loads with 140 grain "Cowboy #14", and 9x19 and .357 SIG with 147 grain Subsonic-GL.
I gotta admit, the Dillon 650 deserves top billing.
