Hello, I'm wondering if anybody know about gunsatlantic.com.
I was trying to by a gun from them and found really storage thing.
They are not taking credit card payment not on website or phone only PayPal or Zelle.
Phone number listed on web site is Google phone number.
When I tried to use look up dealer link it did not worked.
I called and spoke with the sales person, who said that they have difficulty to accept credit card but can take PayPal payment, just use option "send money to fried and family" and provided email with yahoo account. Plus price was too good to be true Beretta 92X for $590 free shipping.
I sad I do not have enough funds on my PayPal and been told to pay as much as I can.

SCAM. They're popping up all over. We just had a thread on remingtonguns-dot-com, also a scam site. That site actually looked pretty convincing until you dug deep. Even the prices were consistent with current levels. A similar one using the Ruger name has already been shut down.

Credit card charges can be disputed and investigated for fraud. Not so easy with PP or Zelle.

Run like you've got a gun to your back. ;)

It looks like there used to be a store called Raygun Tactical there, according to google its closed now, but no gunsatlantic. Also, anyone only taking paypal or zelle for a firearm that is not a private seller is a bit suspect. Pay as much as you can sounds like a scam. I would stay away from them. They could be legit but they sound shady as hell.

These types of sites seem to be popping up all over the place. If it seems too good to be true then it most likely is. Stay away. They are just hoping to hook a few desperate fish and then disappear.

IMO, everything you described sounds fishy.

What, if anything, is giving you the impression it's legit?

Yeah, no. That's a hard no. Pay as much as you can, sure, they'll take a little or all your money, all gravy for them. And PP by friends and family so there is absolutely no recourse. Yeah, no....

Sell me one of your guns, OP. Now, I don't have enough funds, but I'll pay as much as I can.

Now, when you turn it around like this, you can see how it's wonky, right?

"GunsAtlantic" ........ Showing a business address in the San Francisco Bay area?!?? Yeah, okay........

.....and, FYI here is the PayPal policy concerning firearms purchases etc. For them to recommend using PayPal for purchase(s) is a dead giveaway. PayPal will cancel your account and make you wait for them to return any balance you may have.

I'm sorry but every one of these scams sites needs to be reported to no less than that states Attorney General Office for investigation. Ppl trying to scam on guns should peak the AGs interest regardless of (D) or (R) for that state

I have to ask; do people that speak broken English also type in broken English? I am asking as it seems somewhat strange to me, somewhat staged.,

Yes, they where spoke broken English. I have a thick Russian accent myself, but it was very hard to understand this person.

That exactly what I did, just want to post here to advice people of this site.

Yeah anytime someone suggests paypal, who don't allow transactions for gun purchases, red flag. A step further, they asked for F&F payment, which can't be disputed, another layer of protection (for them) when they ghost you and you try to retrieve your payment.

Pay as much as you can? Seriously???

IMHO Since "PeePal" split the sheets with EBAY they are going down fast. Should they do away with FF Theres really more risk than reward with them. Looking into Zelle as a replacement now.
BTW. Beware of selling stuff on Ebay now. Since they dumped PP the transaction time may be so long you might get paid until AFTER you've shipped and item. Increasing your stated response time to cover yourself may not be a bad idea. Also USPS is continuing to stumble and warning buyers of possible extended shipping times may also be warranted. See many doing that now.
