Please rate the following in terms of from good to best:

Savage Mark II
Savage B22
Ruger American
CZ 457
Tikka T1X [by request from another]

Would be scoped, in case that matters. Also bull barrel design. No iron sights. And I understand that some of these would be less expensive. Looking for which would have the best potential for accuracy. I already know which would be best in terms of appearance.

My recently received CZ 457 MTR has been a surprisingly GOOD purchase. This rifle has a "match" chamber and provides a slightly engraved bullet into the leade as chambered:

When shooting my "Tack Driver" target with some RWS R 100 ammunition, I found that it did right well:

And then the BEST surprise followed when shooting SK Rifle match. 5 rounds at 45 yards:

I can only hope that it will do that on frequent visits to my range out back, but I'm not expecting I can hold my tongue in the corner of my mouth exactly the same way. The group on the right is with ELEY yellow box target.

I don't have one...yet, but you may want to throw the Tikka T1X into the mix unless you are just settled on one of these four. It would come in at somewhere around the CZ American price range. I have been reading some great things about it.

I have a CZ 457 and Marlin XT 22 in 22mag. They are equal in accuracy. But the CZ is still new. So maybe as i shoot it more. That may change.
I'll have to compare my bolt 22 lrs some day.

I've been reading the same stuff. That rifle is indeed under consideration, along with a few others. Guess I'll need to burn some midnight oil and get a few more coins in my poke for the future.

My choice would be the CZ and then the Ruger. My last Savage II was a poor rifle to say the least. I spent quite a bit of time and money trying to improve it with no success and sold it at a considerable loss. I have one of their pre-e receiver rifles and I will put it up against any CZ or Ruger of it's era. The change was to make it cheaper to manufacture, not to improve it's performance.

I read great things about the CZ 457 and the rimfire chicken shooters here seem to have a high opinion of it.

Honesty if you bought 5 of each and tested them all for group size in a controlled environment and ranked them 1-15, I think you would find them intermixed in the rankings. All 3 build very accurate rifles.

CZ is definitely on top of quality and finish.

My Savage MkII rifles are all vey accurate, mine have the heavy varmint barrels. I stick with Savage since it is hard to find any heavy barrel left hand rimfire rifles. My 17m2 is an older pre "E-receiver" GVL without the Accu-Trigger and my 22lr is an "E-reciever" with Accu-Trigger BTVLSS.

CZ rimfire rifles are good to go too. I have no experience with any Ruger rimfire rifles since they don't make them in left hand versions.

In the FWIW category.....

I have a CZ 453 Varminter. My S-I-L has a heavy barrel Savage. We were shooting side by side off a very good bench. After a full morning of shooting, he commented that mine was more accurate. Not by much, but enough to tell.

Keep in my mind this was maybe eight years ago, and a sample size of one each

Betting on averages of many rifles, not based on high or low performance of one rifle, then CZ is a field ahead of the others, Tikka lagging, then Savage and Ruger tied in the slow heat race.

Taking a Savage to a match among a fleet of CZ’s, you’d better hope you’re the only true shooter on the line, otherwise, it’s going to be an underwhelming day.

My 452s are great shooting rifles.
My ruger american is a bit less so.
My MK2 is good for a few rounds but always throws a flier.

Don't have a B22 or a Tikka. So I won't comment on those.

I only have the CZ 457 and it is the Varmint model. I was very impressed with it right out of the box and it just keeps getting better with more rounds sent down range. SK Rifle Match works very well but lately the Wolf Match Extra has proven to be a tad more consistent.

CZ for me. I have a CZ455 with interchangeable barrels (.17HMR and .22 LR) it shoots both remarkably well.

CZ has a good reputation for quality rifles at affordable prices.

IMO, you’re looking at maybe a 1/2” difference between them, none a true target grade, so make sure the Indian shoots straight. My Marlin is the shooter among my rimfires followed closely by a 452. Still, CZ is an easy recommendation if you don’t mind the price, otherwise I’d hunt down an XT-22

CZ 457

Savage Mark II

Those are the only ones I've had experience with. The Savage is a real performer. But the CZ is more refined. You couldn't go wrong with either one.

Never had the Savage's. But I had a CZ 452 American, Ruger American target and Tikka T1. I had the CZ for quite a few years and for a long time was my most accurate 22. The Ruger was a disappointment. It was no more accurate than my 10-22 and if you didn't open the action aggressively it would not fully eject empty brass. I didn't keep it long.

The Tikka is quite a bit more accurate than the CZ. While I did like the CZ I was able to sell it for more than I paid so I had no trouble letting it go.

I just picked up a Savage Mark II camo.
Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet as I haven't found a scope mounting option I like.
Tried a EGE .... didn't like how high the scope was off the barrel. Ordered a set of Weaver mounts and low rings. Scope is a 3-9x44 Nikon in Realtree, goes fairly good with the Savage stock.
