Most are in terrible shape, but are in antique stores, especially the flea market types. Look in the bottom of the tool boxes they have there. Not that rare, just obscure and often too specialized; I've passed on a few because they are based around a tool I don't need, are even branded as being the service tool for some ancient threshing machine or so on, or are too rusty and banged up to work well. The OP's a very cool one, far too many are just like bad Swiss Army knives with normal stagg (often fake) scales and some extra tools inside.
They were (at least sometimes) worn on the belt like the multitool of today is. You can sometimes find them with or in the leather pouch but too often not usable anymore due to poor storage or lots of use way back when, or both.
I don't recall /which/ but I am just old enough one or two of the old farmer / mechanic type fathers or grandfathers on my Scout troop would carry a pen knife in the pocket, and a bigger tool on the belt. One had a screwdriver etc for sure as they'd pull it out for small repairs at camp, and had a different tool for cutting, but not sure what else was in there.
