Interesting. An another Turkish shotgun. Not much for bull pups, but I can see the use. Maybe not for sporting clays. Let us know how it shoots.

Ordered the M12AB model this past Sunday 8/15/21 from Buds.
Email Monday 8/16/16 confirming order and informing me that "item has moved to shipping department".
Email Tuesday morning 8/17/21 informing me that due to abnormally high sales my order may be delayed 1-2 days.
Call from LGS Tuesday afternoon 8/17/21 that shotgun had arrived. Picked it up an hour later.
2 full days to get my order. You would think an outfit like Buds could do better than that.;)

Until mobility issues put me out of the game I was an avid bird hunter and still have several shotguns. Didn't really need another and wasn't really looking for one but while I was researching something else I came across Buds assortment of Turkish Bullpups. I went back and forth on the subject for a few hours and decided to take the chance on one of the mid tier models from SDS. With the exception of an additional choke, which I'll probably never use, my AB model appears the same as the OP.

Today I ordered a reflex optic, light and a vertical fore grip to replace the horizontal one it came with. I'll post a photo when I get it all together.

Other than the placement of the charging handle I can't see any other obvious differences. Just took a second look and there are some slight differences, the cap nut is different as is the rear strap mount. Mag well is a little different than mine and some slight differences in the grip trigger guard configuration.

I believe your PT model is the latest offering from SDS. GruntReviews has some solid videos on the AA model, AB Model and what appears to be their top tier model the NK-1. He's waiting on a PT model to do a review. His video on the AB is what sold me on that model.
Originally I was looking at the Hatsan Escort BTS12 then saw the M12AB, searched the MB12 series and found my PT on sale at Atlantic Firearms, a sale that was too good to pass up.

Oh and looking at the pictures I realized I had my iron sights on backwards......... :)

They're on correctly now.

I was really considering the NK-1 from Atlantic as it came with a 10 rd mag but saved myself about $50 going with the AB from Buds. The AB was $20 less at Atlantic but they were sold out as was Classic Firearms.
Mine ended up being about $100 less than the Escort and $50 less than everywhere else I looked for the M12PT. So far the only thing I found I dislike is the mag release location and the fact the mags don't just drop out when the mag release is pushed. Gotta yank them out, it's basically a two handed job, one hand to push the release and one to pull the mag out. Don't know if this is normal, needs some breaking in or a malfunction. Either way it looks like there's a single point sling in this shotgun's future........

Sorry to hear that about your magazine problem. I have a small issue with when I insert my magazine. Holding at the middle of the mag, not the bottom, it takes a little precision rocking to get it to sit correctly but gets easier every time I do it. Drops clean when the release button is pushed though.

From what I've read on different forums there's a initial round count break in period which I'm willing to accept for the $$ spent. May be awhile before I can get it to the outdoor range. Texas is HOT this time of year and the humidity the last two months has almost matched the temperature. 95 degrees with 80% humidity will almost suck the gizzard out of you.

My grandson, 19, unboxed this for me and thinks this bullpup is pretty cool. Along with the reflex optic and light I ordered a ten round magazine. Hoping to have every thing together by the end of the weekend.

My only real objection is current and future availability of magazines. I have little knowledge of the magazine fed Turkish guns and don't know how much interchangeability of magazines there is between brands. I suspect it's nothing like that of AR and Kalashnikovs. With their AR T02 you don't have to worry about finding magazines.

In stock at SDS Imports and the cheapest I've found at $19, their shipping rate sucks though at around $28, I ordered 3.

  1. Are any of the brands interchangeable?
  2. Are there any third party manufacturers of the SDS or other Turkish pattern magazines?
It says it's for Mk1919, ANG 4PT or MP12 series shotguns. There are other after market manufacturers who make 10 round mags if you like the whole banana magazine look.

I'm still wearing a catheter following a major peter rooter, comes out Friday so I won't get to range all that soon either. Thirty five years in Northern VA before moving back out west to the high desert, I don't miss the humidity.

My mags arrived from SDS Imports and yes the mag that came with mine is the problem. The ones I just received while not dropping completely out when the mag release is pushed they do drop down about a quarter inch allowing for a one handed mag removal operation.
Oh and if you order from SDS Imports just select standard shipping to save a couple of bucks, their two day delivery took almost 10 days..........

Put a red/green dot scope, Limbsaver buttpad, tactical light and Magpul front grip on.

Cool! According to the tracking number mine arrived at my dealer's this afternoon from Centerfire Systems, I hope to pick it up tomorrow.

I have another of the Turkish "cousins", the Eternal Arms 12-ga.

As far as mags, I got mine from GunMag Warehouse (they are Panzer Arms brand) and they worked just fine. Shipping was cheaper but the per mag charge was higher - so it was about a wash.

I was never a bullpup fan but bought one anyway.
There's a cool factor, and it's a blast to shoot.
My nephew and brother-in-law and I used it to drain a water heater, that was a lot of fun.
This one is the Radikal NK-1

Just got mine today. Had issues cycling game shot from the range. Any body else have similar issues? I'll probably go back tomorrow to try something a little hotter.

Can anyone confirm that there are 2 of the same sized chokes provided? Or what the choke types are?

Sorry to hear about your cycling problem. I haven't yet had the opportunity to shoot mine, spending too much time at the VA............
Choke identification:
look at the top rim of each choke, you may have to look very closely and you'll see very small notches. One notch indicates Full Choke, two notches is Improved Choke and three notches indicates Modified Choke.

I was shooting 1250. I heard that 1300 may be the floor.

Seems like a skeet came installed and 2 full chokes were provided.

Mine had the full, modified and improved as well as one that threaded into the barrel with outer threads for attaching a muzzle brake.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these the same choke?
