NRA Dissolution Suit Development

I would highly recommend that everyone get a copy of this month's Firearm News and in the back there is a rather long OpEd about the current NRA, its leadershup, the many crimes of WLP and why things are the way they are these days and why WLP's narcissism is forcing the judge in the case into a corner.

I mean it is one heckuvan article written by someone (Jeff Knox) who knows every little intricacy of the case and all of the crimes committed.

We were all duped by WLP. His favorite cronies and he lived high on the hog on our hard earned nickles while acquiescing to the anti-gun lobby at every turn.

Perhaps I can screenshot the article and post it for everyone to read. It will shock you.

I used to think I'd gotten very cynical about how power and control would corrupt people who managed to get themselves into a position of influence, power, and control. I thought it happened fairly often, and particularly so in government. The past few years, and especially the past two years, have shown me in no uncertain terms that I wasn't cynical back then; I was still very naive.

Given the choice between the NRA with WLP and no NRA, I back the NRA!

I hope the NRA can become chartered in a gun friendly state.

Been an NRA Life Member since 1960: For decades i contributed until it hurt. The NRA lost me after WLP began his ranting. So long as WLP and the current board of directors are in office the NRA will get nothing for me. i will continue to contribute to the NRA Foundation.

WLP fired CFO Craig Spray two weeks into the bankruptcy shenanigan that cost the NRA 20 million dollars. Craig Spray refused to sign off on the 2019 federal Form 990.

The judge declined the request:

"Justice Joel M. Cohen rejected the NRA members’ request, stating that under state law they would require the participation of at least 5% of the group’s 5 million members to qualify for standing.

But the judge said he appreciates the perspective of NRA members and would consider other ways to include them as the case proceeds."

I think they could easily get 5% of the membership to join them.

"...like WLP, who has now become the Idi Amin of the NRA."

I'm sorry...I can't stop laughing because all I can think about right now is the Idi Amin song!

It's an apt analogy though, in my opinion.

Idi, Idi, Idi Amin, most amazin' man, there's ever been.
He's the general, the president, the king of the sea,
Idi, Idi, Idi Amin.
