That's a horsehide Beltman belt I got 7-8 years ago. The buckle is from Crossbreed holsters.

So, standing or walking I can't imagine getting a gun ready to fire quicker than pocket carry. While I'm strolling with my wife in stores or outlets I have a grip on my gun and no one is any wiser. The time taken to clear my shirt, get my grip for a draw is eliminated. Sitting... yeah, that's problematic.
In the car or truck, gun and holster comes out and goes into the door map pocket.
I wasn't fond of the idea of pocket carry until I tried it. It's cool.

One me, over the past bunch of years, usually one .38 snub or another. Now an LCRx .38, has been S&W 642, Charter Undercover (broke too much, replaced by 642), and Taurus 605.

In order from most carried to least: AMT backup Dao 45ACP, AMT backup 380, Colt 1908 25ACP.

Infrequently carried: Charter Arms Bulldog 44 Special, Smith Bodyguard 38, Smith mod 19 2.5" 357, 1911 Colt 45, Smith 1926 44 Special, 22 lr High Standard Derringer, HK-4 in any of 22,25,32,380. Walter P-38 9mm, Smith 659 9mm.

I carry a array of handguns.. yesterday I carried a Taurus GX4 IWB , today most likely a
Charter Pitbull in 40 S&W
I just have to many to list . But my Glock 27 is one of’em that is carried often

I pocket carry an LCP as a BUG. My EDC is either my Shield Plus or My Kimber Micro 9 Rapide.

Glock 21, S&W 629 3" or SIG P220 on the belt. In the pocket, SIG P365 or Ruger LCP (if I have to).

You can easily convert any IWB holster into a tuckable. Simply punch two holes in the toe of the holster, one on either side the the muzzle. Make two Kydex "reverse J" strips -- round the ends of the strips (about 6" long and 1" wide) then heat and bend the tip inward. Go down the strip a little more than the with of your belt, heat and bend again in the same direction. Drill holes in the other end and attach to the holster with Chicago screws (post screws.)

Slide the holster between your pants and body -- just like an IWB -- with the ends of the Reverse J strips OUTSIDE the pants. They will click in place as they glide past your belt and hold the holster firmly in place.

Insert the gun in the holster, pull out your shirt from behind the holster, then drape it over the gun and holster and tuck it back in between the holster and your pants. "Blouse" your shirt -- pull a little out of the belt and let it hang loose all around.

Lately, I've been carrying three, though it's partly to phase out the practice of carrying one on the belt.

Belt gun: Taurus G2C (until recently, a Kel-Tec PF9, for over ten years.)

Pocket gun as backup: Ruger LCP-MAX (until recently, a Kel-Tec P32, for over ten years.) This gun also has a spare (12-round) magazine along.)

Third gun, to be second if I ever ditch belt carry: NAA .22LR 1.125" revolver, in jeans "fifth" pocket, hidden behind cellphone case. It's also possible the P32, or my Seecamp .32, will go second in another pocket, keeping the Mini in third place.

Phasing out belt carry is something I've been considering for years but, every time I get close, things change socially or politically and that gives me pause. That trend appears likely to continue.

Went to a baseball game yesterday, a game during which my daughter's gymnastics squad was performing a routine. Got halfway to the gate when I saw the metal detector and had to return to my truck to doff my knife, Leatherman, and all three guns. Now that I think of it, I don't remember taking off the spare 12-round magazine for the Ruger.

The title is broad, but the context of original post seems to be pocket carry. Nothing draws from a pocket, with less potential for snags and other fuss, than a spur-less hammer revolver, or a revolver with the hammer concealed within the dimensions of the frame. So, depending upon the pocket dimensions, that means my S&W J-Frame, that started life as a 642, but got its own unique model designation, back when S&W did that with Performance Center products, or, a spur-less hammer Ruger SP101.

For special situations, that require an extra level of covertness, or, the only available pocketr is quite small, my pocket gun is a Seecamp LWS-32. Unlike striker-fired pistols, the rear of the slide is not boxy, and is sloped. There is a hammer, but there is no spur, so the hammer is concealed within the dimensions of the slide. Notably, one does not quickly change magazines, with one’s Seecamp pistol, so, one should plan for this, accordingly. Ideally, the Seecamp is not one’s only weapon.

Sig 365 if I ever pocket carry, which is very rare lately

The only time I pocket carry is when I have to wear a jacket or a coat. My Security 9 Compact works fine in that case. I t has a safety that I engage since I do not use a holster when I pocket carry. I also have a LC9S and an LCP II but I prefer the Security 9 Compact with the 15 round magazine for a SD gun.

Try a holster like this for the pocket…….https://www.desantisholster.com/the-nemesis….. It is inexpensive and effective. I pocket carry in the summer when wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It’s my 642 similar to your 442 in the front pocket. Slides in and out easily and the holster stays put.

I only pocket carry when I absolutely cannot carry my P365 IWB. Then it's either an LCR or an LCP2 in a Sticky holster.

P365XL IWB for me these days. When the weather gets cooler I'll probably tote my G19. For pocket carry a 442/642 is real easy, as is the Kahr PM9/CM9 types. Or the LCP II. It's so much about what you're personally comfortable with. I prefer belt carry with an untucked shirt. I tried to make the tuckable idea work for me but I never liked it, myself. Belt is an old but serviceable hank's amish belt.

PCR is a CZ 75 compact, but with an alloy frame so it's a tad lighter than the regular 75 compact.... PCR stands for " Police Czech Republic "

I carry a Ruger LC9s, or a Ruger LCP, sometimes a CZ PCR.

IMHO carrying as much gun as you can is a no-brainer.

I just recently upgraded from a S&W Shield 40 to a Hellcat for appendix carry -- .40 to 9mm is a loss but 7 to 12 rounds and a bit less size and weight s a win.

I quit carrying my p938 in my pocket the day I found the safety was off I switched to a S&W 637 with a bobed hammer I still carry the sig but on my belt

Lcp max or sig 365 in front pocket

I carry a Glock 43 99% of the time. Blackhawk Pocket holster sometimes and Gould and Goodrich yaqui strong side sometimes. Draw is a tick slower from pocket but both are sub 2 second draws. Either pocket or belt is a very comfortable carry and the gun is reliable.

I carried a Taurus 85CH - a 2" five shot .38 Special with bobbed hammer - in a coat pocket (with a dedicated holster) for several years. It made the coat hang a little funny, damaged the pocket linings, and was awfully slow to get to. It also was as hard to shoot as any such gun inevitably is. I can understand the dislike of IWB, but pocket carry is definitely worse, for me.
