GRIZ22,

I have to disagree. The RUGER Match Champion cost a little more than the RUGER GP-100 and offers a lot MORE! Namely a smooth trigger. You may get one with a GP-100, but then again, you may not. RUGER does the extra work for you with the Champ.

It’s named just that: Janz Ultimate.
Interchangeable barrels and cylinders for 22 Magnum, 9mm, 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum, 45 ACP, 45 LC, and 454 Casull. Only $42,000. :(

Well It depends- Stainless or In the Shadows Blue. Packing concealed or Open Easy going woods carry.
Love My 357 Marlin/ Mags. My Shtf set up- Got a Mold/ Ladle/ 1lb. Powder/ Wheel weights off Cars/ Tin and Primers w/shells. Can Last a Good while hanging on to Shells. Small game to Bigger game. Doug Wesson did it successfully.
I can carry the k frame Mod 13 easily, and the L frame 686 Mountain gun isn’t bad at all to Carry. Been doing that recently. Guess that would have to be the CSS and Mountain Gun- Hot Ammo, No problem. Or Maybe…..Well I don’t like this question, I’ll Take Both just in case !

Ya , It would be my 7 Shot 686 Mountain gun for sure. Can carry it without difficulty-in most any clothes,Barami hip grip or Cross draw. 38 small game or Real hots. It would be my one and only do all 357. Yet I’d want my 696 if
I could have another. 50D2447D-0335-4D5A-8EB0-B48BF64404D0.png

Most don’t care for a J frame 357.
Yet with the 3” brl and Larger grips… It’s a Formidable CCW. I look at it like a 2/3 sized 686.
It’s a bit tougher than I thought. Shot many warm magnum charged 180 xtps thru it. And Just recently had it inspected by a very reputable Gunsmith. He Verified it was very tight, with no end shake or other issues.
With Its size I can control and shoot it very well. About as small as I want. Yet it’s very nice to carry at any time of the year. C8988FAC-0E74-4523-A61B-D9C236268A4D.jpeg 85C189AB-AFE5-4E42-A53C-58D7D7824A75.jpeg

Ya I like the old school S&W grips. Need Custom maker for a Square/Round Magna conversion…. Not big Target grips.
I Have some Rare round checkered Target yet the simple Square Magnas are my favorite for the 686. Tyler T required for class and Style, 75882EB8-E811-4AD5-8135-547D3F5F5DAB.png 980AFC49-458A-4E0D-A0DA-342351F1433E.png Helps with groups also.

Also really like this Ruger SP-101 with 4.2" barrel. Added the Pach's to fit more like the Match Champion.
Nice FO sights to boot. Stole it from a consignment at local retailer for $450. Store said the buyer bought for his wife, she shot 50 rounds and decided she wanted something else. Thanks!! Now they sell for $700+ if you can find one.

For a ultimate 357

Does anyone else prefer the heavier ammo?
I do, For me it produces better accurate shooting and Slower speeds. Less sound for Ear protection…. And with the proper Bullet, Over Penetrating can be resolved.

I like the Speer 158, Or a Hollow point 180gr.
The All to well known 125s Can be accurate- yet with all that Concussion and Blast- I don’t want to walk around with electric sound protection on all the time.

I've only ever had one .357 magnum revolver, and I haven't had it all that long, but I think I did it right the first time. In any case, I'm very pleased with my bullet launcher.

Ladies, and gentlemen, I give you the ultimate .357 magnum revolver... the ever so beautiful 7 shot 3" barrel S&W 686-6.

My ultimate 357 will not have a lawyer lock on it
And needs to work as a carry gun as well as woods walking so I'm thinking a 4" barrel probably a 5 shot to help with weight and a thinner profile no horns on it to snag on Clothing and good Low profile sights And easy to work on so I wouldn't have to bring to a gun Smith And built like a little tank So I'm thinking a Ruger SP 101 would fit the bill for Me

I'd rather not have it either, but I'm not sure if the older models were 7 shots or not. In any case, this is the one I found for sale, and If I just leave it unlocked, not too much of it's soul should leak out. Besides, having the damn thing on there will make me look like a "responsible gun owner" should I ever have to defend using it in court.

That Blackhawk will take a heck of a lot of hot 357, and Not be a -Nats eye lash- of a difference looser than when it was built at the factory. Yes Sr, that’s is a Tough 357.

I shot the old one I had with Hot 357 a good while and often, it was Solid. Yet it went the way some other Beauties have gone……. Into faint memory and for another I had my eyes on.
