Nice pick-up with the SIG P365! I have yet to see a Mossberg MC1. Let us know how things go with both of them on their first range visit.

Will do. Can’t pick them up until the paperwork is mailed to the county and they respond with, yes you can. Mailed today. Might be able to pick in a few weeks. Depending on the speed.

Manurhin? Say no more. Don’t shoot it if you cannot afford it though, you’ll cry yourself to sleep every night.

Me, I have a good footprint but I love my rimfires so I’d start with a Hi Standard Victor.

I guess I forgot that he also has a Manurhin in 32 acp. He's pretty big on them. I haven't transferred any from him right now. He is 88 and in good shape. Got his hip replaced in August and he's back to his normal self. Even cutting down trees for firewood.

They (Manurhin) are IMO as close as it gets to that Glock slogan...well, unless you can spring for a Korth. There’s an idea!

I live near Syracuse.
Collecting in the Up-State... I don't know, I've only been to that part of the country a little - Snappy Grillers, John Deere and Kodak country, if I recall? - most of the folks I knew up there were more into shotguns... but, as a collector, there are certain handguns that just scream Americana: Colt single actions, S&W double-actions (especially Hand Ejectors), Ruger Blackhawks. I think for a first you can't go wrong with the M&P (or more modern Model 10) Smith or a Colt's Official Police - it's what Barney Fife carried ;)

Good luck and congrats.
