The proper answer to this is "if you want it, get it".

Other than that, I can't answer for you.

Simply liking something is as good a reason as any to get just about anything. How many times have we each bought something just because we liked it, always wanted one, collect for some reason, found something unusual, etc.?

Just don't let it interfere with your family budget is all I have to say!
my family budget always come 1st!

My wife give me a allowance of cash money that goes into my “Don’t ask Jar” that’s why I like buying locally, Cash Money

I'll be boycotting Expendables 3 if Steven Segal isn't given a role in it. He should've been in Expendables 2!!!
Rambo is getting old! I don’t think he will be in anymore movies! Segal is over weight now! lol

Don’t they have any good true grit actors anymore? only Soy Cowboys left??

I keep seeing the new Uberti firing pin referred to as "floating". It is not, it is a retractable firing pin. No Colt SAA or halfway authentic replica has a floating firing pin. The frame mounted firing pin of Rugers is "floating". Because it "floats" in the frame, rather than being attached to and moving with the hammer.

Scott Eastwood looks like his pappy but he doesn't have the voice or demeanor to play the kinds of roles that Clint did.
he didn’t work for like his pops, and it would show in his acting.

The Sheriffs Model or Storekeeper are actual items, instead of the "movie prop", used by some Cowboy Action shooter's.

They WERE mid-$500, before the DEM panic.
Seem to be in the $650 range, now.
Being the "movie prop", the store COULD have added a premium.

If they have had it that long and you want it, a $600 offer would be my suggestion.

I would buy it at full price, I have very little shopping time, but It missing the roller on the hammer. That was a critical part of the movie.

and trying to find that part would be impossible

Seagal doesn't need to be skinny to break arms.

@Mark_Mark
Something to consider that I believe would be a lot more reliable, tough, has great customer service support and is cooler (IMHO ;)) you should check out this baby. This one is .45 Colt. They make a .45 ACP and if you bought either one Ruger could make you a matching cylinder in the other chambering for around $150.

That is correct. The new Ubertis have a retractable firing pin. It protrudes enough from the hammer to be visible, but not enough to contact a primer. Its normal state is 'retracted'. When the trigger is pulled an actuator pushes the firing pin forward just enough to fire a primer. When the trigger is released, the firing pin retracts back that small amount again.

Ruger revolvers have always had frame mounted, spring loaded firing pins. The spring keeps the firing pin back away from a primer so the cylinder can turn.

The old Three Screw Rugers had no transfer bar. The hammer struck the frame mounted firing pin to fire a cartridge.

Modern Rugers have a transfer bar. The hammer strikes the transfer bar, which 'transfers' the hammer blow to the frame mounted firing pin. When the trigger is released, the transfer bar retracts down slightly into the frame. When the transfer bar has retracted, the hammer cannot contact the firing pin.

Steven Seagal couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. One of the worst actors I have ever seen. I won't waste my time watching one of his movies. I watched Rocky the other night. The original. I think it is a pretty good movie and Stalone did an excellent job. He was very believable as a down on his luck club fighter who moonlighted as a leg breaker. I loved the scene where he hollers at old Burgess Meredith, who wants to be his trainer. At the end of the scene Rocky runs out of his apartment and hugs Burgess. That was a class act.

that’s sweet!!! $900 each… you guys think they are worth it?

Typically Rugers always sell for less than MSRP. Last year in the heat of buyer frenzy stupidity I bought a brand new Ruger Vaquero 5.5” .45 Colt for $600 at my LGS. I do believe they knocked $50 off as I am a good customer but the MSRP was around $800 at the time.
Ruger’s MSRP has gone up quite a bit this year, as as everything else, but I figure a $900 MSRP could mean a gun store price of $700-$750.
