Beware: Just bought a club member's ammo: tarnished .22LR: CMP brand (40 grain), 1600 rds.
Tarnished brass, although the 5 white 325-rd. boxes look quite nice.

Causes very frequent double-feeds in two handguns which Already >> work quite well with any new bulk ammo << - because I had already shortened the recoil springs in the M&P Standard and Ruger Mark IV.
Of course sellers always respond " Yes, it was stored in a dry place". ---This can mean a truck.---

Luckily this is only a fraction of my stored .22 LR. A second, even —weaker— spare recoil spring can be used with this lousy, weak ammo.

* AMRaider: Congratulations on that new CZ PO1.

Right now all I want to shoot is shotguns. So I would grab a couple different 12ga's and possibly a 10/22. It's weird, I've owned shotguns since I was a teenager and never really took them out or enjoyed shooting them until recent.

If your buddy called you right now to go shooting, but you could only grab one gun on your way out the door, what would it be?
Probably one of the M1s ... maybe one of my M14 or FAL Variant builds.

Haven't been out shooting the heavier stuff for awhile. ;)

'course ... those SVT-40s need some exercise, too, and I have plenty of ammo, so ...

Decisions, decisions ...

NIGHTLORD40K, sometimes you're just a troublemaker. :D

Glock 48 that I've barely broken in. Haven't shot it since buying a couple of Shield Arms Gen II S15 magazines and accompanying metal mag catch.

Oh man...this all kinda depends on factors of range particulars, whose gonna be there with us, level of range formality/control & etc. If Pistol, I'd grab my nifty little Ruger Wrangler single-action .22; bang-for-your-buck fun and EVERYONE on the range with you will want to try it out! The best 200 bucks any gun nut can spend now or ever unless they have a real-deal Colt New Frontier .22 Peacemaker in their stable already(!) If actual rifle distances were called for, like +100 yards...Today.... I would grab my "Bad Bitch" U.S. Caliber .30 M-1 (SA March 1944) which I keep a little dirty & always greased at all times so that I don't hesitate to take her out to shoot and let others shoot her. For many, even MOST of them...it will be their ONE TIME shooting an M-1 and they'll remember it always. And for a few...it will be their introduction to the 'cult of the M-1' and they'll be hooked and we'll have a chat about the CMP and soon after another M-1 Garand will find her 'forever home' just like a shelter puppy.

Garands are a perennial range loaner favorite. I do insist on loading it for the shooter, however, unless they are very familiar with the gun.

Something I have yet to shoot. One of these I guess. Or maybe all of the above. It's pitiful I know.

I just don't have any one gun that I always grab. But I'll always grab at least one .38 or .357 revolver, at least one full-size 9mm pistol, and a lever-action rifle.
