This is a little pinfire revolver I own, though it is a larger caliber than the 7mm in the video. This one is 8 or 9mm but is actually made to fit in a coat pocket and has a folding trigger. It's far too small to accommodate a blade, but I have seen pinfires here and there with spring loaded blades that flip forward.

I suspect you're more correct than not. That's a crappy saber, and a worse pistol. Awkward, heavier than it should be, and weak right at the hilt.

I'll bet most of the sales were to gentlemen who had never used a saber or pistol for social work.

I would fill the case to the top with powder and then plug it with wax or that black powder goop.

That way you can kill it and grill it at the same time.
