Uberti Expendable .45 LC

Typically Rugers always sell for less than MSRP. Last year in the heat of buyer frenzy stupidity I bought a brand new Ruger Vaquero 5.5” .45 Colt for $600 at my LGS. I do believe they knocked $50 off as I am a good customer but the MSRP was around $800 at the time.
Ruger’s MSRP has gone up quite a bit this year, as as everything else, but I figure a $900 MSRP could mean a gun store price of $700-$750.
I thought I remember seeing them in the $600. Yep Inflation, I’m dumping all my cash on other things!

Steven Seagal couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. One of the worst actors I have ever seen. I won't waste my time watching one of his movies. I watched Rocky the other night. The original. I think it is a pretty good movie and Stalone did an excellent job. He was very believable as a down on his luck club fighter who moonlighted as a leg breaker. I loved the scene where he hollers at old Burgess Meredith, who wants to be his trainer. At the end of the scene Rocky runs out of his apartment and hugs Burgess. That was a class act.

Neither could Jean-Claude Van Damme, yet he was a 80's/90's action star, and had a role in Expendables 2 along with other such "fine" actors as Dolf Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. If there is an Expendables 3, Seagal needs to be in it.

I want to see The Matrix vs. The Expendables

New Ubertis are genuine worthless garbage. Take a hard look at the rugers. I have a .45 blackhawk convertible with a 4 5/8" barrel. Good sights accurate and very well-made.

Below are the two brand new uberti .357 mag el patrons. One had to be destroyed by uberti as unfixable after 300 rounds and two trips back. The second was a replacement I waited 6 months to get from them. It failed to fire one full cylinder out of the box. Benelli/ uberti has had it for 9 weeks now. I am waiting on it being fixed since July 15.

DANG! I would hate to wait that long. Light primer strikes dude to Floating hammer issues?

While I'm sure Master Blaster is a competent shooter, he seems to be the only one having issues with Uberti's. Looks like everyone else on here is good with their Uberti's and other Italian replicas. And pretty much anywhere else I've read. Or people/shooters I've encountered.

Nonsense. There is nothing wrong with the "floating"/retractable firing pin. Nothing. The purist may want something more original, but, the the average shooter simply isn't going to see any difference. At all. Want something original? Pay the $$ and get what you think is what you want. Simple.

let’s get along people, everyone has a right to their option. I personally will buy a Uberti 1873 and a pietta and a ruger. I always go all in!

Several in our group of Cowboy Action have Uberti's. They seem to be well built, but they are older. The issue may be with new ones. IDK

The Ruger Vaquero is a Colt clone, Uberti is another clone. The 2 are comparable in price. 1 is American company and a lifetime warranty.

I have 1 Vaquero. I much prefer the Blackhawk, because of the ladger frame and adjustable sights. I like my sights regulated to where I aim.
All 6 shoot where I want them.

My buddy has 5 Pietta, has had them for years and many rounds, with never a problem.

Any maker of anything can let a lemon slip through. The same person getting 2 in a row is bad ju-ju.

thanks man! nice write up! I bought a Uberti 1873 Winchester 24” 2 weeks ago. Have not shot it yet, but the built quality is good. Has a custom feel, wood to fit quality is very good!

Gonna have to cry foul on that one. I understand your frustration but you cannot condemn a manufacturer based on so few examples. They wouldn't be selling so many guns through half a dozen distributors if they were "worthless garbage". I've been buying them since 1986. Out of 26 guns, I have yet to get a bad one.

I have had a new Ruger that was so bad it had to be destroyed and replaced. There are no guarantees, except that "it" happens.

the only garbage gun I had was a Jimenez JA-22, that thing would slam fire, double, and pretty much open bolt on me. I sent that back so fast and told them to keep it

This AM I emailed Benelli, Uberti to check on the status of my SAA (9 Weeks so far) and was told that instead of fixing revolver #2 or replacing it they are working on getting me a refund.
nine weeks… lol! at lease you know customer service is not good. I think most people who buy Uberti are hobbies gun smith, and would just fix it themselves

Really my first gun went out of time at 300 rounds because the frame stretched, major endshake developed. Uberti destroyed the frame because it could not be fixed. Not fixable at home. Second new replacement they provided has issues beyond th fp safety. They would not say what they were.
