The Wisconsin law denying firearms ownership to felons stands. .

"WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court Monday declined to take a challenge to a Wisconsin law banning state residents who have been convicted of felonies – including non-violent crimes – from owning handguns for the rest of their lives.

Leevan Roundtree challenged his conviction after police found a revolver and bullets in his home and charged him in 2015 with possessing a firearm despite a prior felony conviction. Twelve years earlier Roundtree pleaded guilty to failure to pay child support for more than four months, a felony in Wisconsin."

This is the link for the relevant case docket: https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docket/docketfiles/html/public/20-1706.html

There was no reason given for the denial in today's court orders list, link here: https://www.supremecourt.gov/orders/courtorders/100421zor_5357.pdf

Actually, that's really not what we need, but I guess I explained myself poorly. My apologies.

I would not expect any state supreme court or SCOTUS to explain a declination of certiorari. Comments on why the Court declined the case, without an explanation from the Court, would be worthless speculation.

What we need to read is the decision (opinion) of the court of appeal. Since the Supreme Court didn't take the case, that is currently the statement of Wisconsin case law on the question.
