5 Reasons Some Shouldn't Buy a Glock

Your title of this thread was meant to get a rise out of some people. Anybody who looked at it knew that. ;)
If you notice, it's the title of the video.......... No, it wasn't meant to get a rise out of Glock worshipers though obviously there's no preventing that....... Though the "Glock worshipers" is indeed a dig........

I dont really have any issues with anything in the video.
His points are reasonable from what Ive seen, and while they don't affect me personally I'm sure they do other folks....my dad for example hates glocks becuase of the angle, and a buddy of mine cant shoot his to save his life. Neither are willing to mold themselves to the guns, so a better choice would be to find a gun they DO shoot well.

That said I dont shoot a glock because I get my hand up over the back of the frame and the rear serrations cut groves in my thumb knuckle, otherwise I like them quite well and shoot them well. Could messing with back straps fix that? Sure, but couple the fact that Im not a huge fan anyway it just makes more sense for me to shoot other guns also.

Glock was a real gamechanger in 1984. Polymer had been done but this was an adult handgun with an innovative safety. Had a 1st Gen 19C and might have put a regular barrel on it to reduce the amount of noise it kicked back in your face.

Fast forward over 35 years and now it's no longer leading edge. If Glock offered their factory thumb safety they supply on contract I might still own one. As long as they keep pulling shenanigans instead of making a drop out FCU they will keep losing business. I can carry a P365 with less fuss than a 19C.

To be fair the title of the video was meant to get a "reaction" and a click, from both sides of the isle im sure.....its not an unusual tittle and hits the right buzz words.

In all honesty I've never owned a Glock. I have shot a few here & there. Of his 5 reasons the only one that would deter me if I were considering purchasing one is the negative customer service experience he had. It doesn't really matter to me as I don't really want a Glock anyway. I do find myself interested in the PSA Dagger though.
I had a very good experience with Glocks CS. I had a high round count 17 that was almost 10 years out of warranty and the frame had been pretty extensively stippled, break a rail.

I called them, they said send it in and they would look at it. A week later, I had it back, they replaced the frame and rebuilt the rest of the gun. Cost me $25 bucks to ship it to them.

Over the years, Ive had to send a couple of guns back to S&W, and both times, it took them three tries to get things right, but they finally did.

Also if you had taken the time to watch the video you would have seen immediately he is not bad mouthing Glocks, simply stating why some may have other preferences.

You're correct, he probably could have chosen a better title but regardless there are going to be those people who have a knee jerk reaction regardless, that's human nature. I just basically copied his title without thinking about it. I should have known better.........

Did the video start the thread and write the headline? You did it and everyone knows what you we’re trying to do. Pretending otherwise won’t convince anybody. Again it doesn’t matter to me but you playing like choir boy is just silly. Don’t debate whether or not you were starting a debate!:D

Okay, I edited my thread title. Hope that cuts down on the knee jerk reactions.
Eh, it really doesn't matter what you do. Some people are going to find the problem in anything. Most people can't remember that this is a public board, and not every member believes the exact same thing. On the other hand, anyone (no offense) posting their opinion on a public forum needs to be able to take comments and criticism from others whose opinions differ. I find myself posting less on here as newer members, and some of the older ones, forget that.

Whatever pal. Love the projection though.

Yup, as has already been evidenced. My intent has obviously been misconstrued so what the heck, might as well run with it.......
