Rural, far beyond the beltway, Northern Virginia,
While working on my "kitchen laptop" I had the TV turned to PBS in the background (functioning as muzak of sorts).

I happened to look over as the show shifted to a new antique and I was intrigued (and surprised) to see a blunderbuss. Very cool!

At first the blunderbuss had my attention, but that quickly shifted to way the "expert" was (mis)handling the bloody thing ... a LOT. My duck-switch instinct was in overdrive as he swept the crowd repeatedly. The muzzle was only a couple of feet away from the faces of the closest in the crowd of spectators. It was painful for me to watch.

And then it came to me, what really had my attention. I saw not even a single reaction by any of those many people to having the muzzle of that firearm pointed directly at their face. :what:

Definitely no Gun People in that audience.

I would have expected/hoped that someone with some safety-sense (even if someone from the audience created the interruption) would have caused the filming of the segment to stop and explained to the "expert" what he was doing wrong so the segment filming could resume.

Oh well. Thought I would share ...

Welcome to the typical gun show.
