I just wanted to gather stats out of curiosity. The poll can be interpreted as frequency, amount of ammo shot, or cost expenditure. Up to you.

For me, less. A lot less actually. Most of it is financial related, but other factors are time, other hobbies, family, closed shooting ranges (during the beginning) and political uncertainty. I have bought more ammo though! 'Not sure if I've spent any less, and I did buy another gun.

I’m with Red Rick. But Covid probably contributed to the ammo drought along with the current state of affairs in our country. I have a pretty good stock pile of ammo and reloading supplies but I can’t bring myself to burn ammunition like I did prior to the plandemic. I look at my stockpile like it may be a survival necessity as this point.

Early on I shot more than usual. Shooting outdoors at a range with the only other shooters quite a distance away was one of the things easy to do. But as the ammo shortage became more problematic I started shooting less. I have lots of ammo and reloading supplies put back, but if I'd continued to shoot at the same rate I'd have depleted my supplies faster than I wanted to.

I've been able to pick up more ammo in the last few months and have started shooting again at about the same rate as pre Covid.

My wife and I shoot every Saturday at our local indoor range unless we have something to do. Didn’t shoot at the beginning of Covid when they shut everything down, but when it reopened, we went shooting.

I gathered supplies before the great disappearance began, I still was out every weekend practicing.
Now that it’s small game and waterfowl season I’m out even more.

I dropped my range membership in May of 2020 and only shot into my sand trap for verification of gun repairs, don't yet trust supplies yet to rejoin.
Buy anything and everything I can afford to keep my hobby over supplied.

I shoot about the same. I spent a lot of the stimulus on ammo and components. But I had covid bad at the beginning and can't do much before I'm exhausted still, so I don't feel like shooting as much as I want to.

I've actually been shooting more. Only because I joined a club with a decent, safe range. Went from shooting only a couple times a year to 5 so far this year. Granted those couple times a year were 4 day weekend, thousand+ rounds of pure fun at a relative's rural cabin. That's where I learned the power of those hot Takata airbags! Fun, fun, fun!

Anyway, our twins are 5 years old now and in school this year, which will let me have some more shooting time. Which ultimately leads to more gun cleaning time. Ugh... Hate that part.

I have a very basic pistol range on the property. I have an adequate supply of commercial ammunition and components. Thus not a problem. The desire to shoot isn't really there. I've been shooting as in handguns since 1964 (57 Yrs.)
Before the Winter is upon us I'll do some shooting but its not a priority.

I took the opportunity to teach my daughter to shoot and made a family activity out of target practice. The old rifles from grandpa turned out to be fun to shoot, in addition to providing protection on the ranch. Now I shoot more in a week than I did in a year-for decades! Love it!

Same amount, I try to shoot every other Friday.

More rimfire is shot every session, though. I have a ton of that on hand so I can shoot a bunch and not impact my centerfire stash as much ;).

Stay safe.

Shootin' about the same as before.
I do not shoot as much as a lot of the members on THR.
Added two more calibers to my stash in the past year.
45ACP and a 357.
So, just shooting something different.
No problem, components on hand along with dies....
Had to find bullets but now have molds.
If primer availability does not pick up I will be hurting in a few years.

Hi...
Until the last couple of months, I was shooting just as much if not more than pre- Covid.
I have started to ratchet down the centerfire handgun shooting in an attempt to protect my reserve of reloading components.
I still have enough components to continue to shoot for a couple of years if I continue to limit range trips and the number of rounds fired.
Rimfire and centerfire rifle shooting hasn't been impacted yet. Plenty of rimfire ammunition and reloading components for all the rifle cartridges.

Early Covid era I was seeing my hoard of ammo depleting and started shooting less. Then I didn't renew my indoor range membership since I feared they'd go belly up because the shelves were empty and so was the range. I paid the $30/hour rate once or twice a month. I bought a Lee Classic Turret press in Dec 2020 and got set up for 38spl & 357 just before supplies bottomed out. I had saved @10K 38/357 brass cases antipating reloading so well supplied in that regard. I renewed my range membership and shooting once a week now my ammo supply is growing again. I'm retired and reloading has added a whole new world to explore.

I happened to be sitting on more ammo and components in March of 2020 than at any point in my life. I had just finished building out a reloading room, so the ammo shortage hasn't been so much of a problem, and I've been reloading more. With reloading more, I've gotten out to the range more often, testing out new loads and whatnot. At the beginning I figured I had a good 5yr stockpile, and thats probably true for the most part. Never occurred to me that 12ga target ammo would dry up...

I shoot about the same which is when the urge hits (about once a month or so). Enough ammo, enough reloading components, actually too many nice firearms, a private range membership, lots of retired time on my hands - all of the components of a very good shooting hobby. I am very fortunate.

Less for me. I have components and opportunity, but the pandemic has played havoc with my work schedule and church responsibilities. I don’t have as much time as I’d like to shoot under normal circumstances, and the plague has further eroded my available time. May be turning the corner soon, though.

This could be a separate topic, but also for me....gun collecting and shooting was more fun between 2000-2015'ish because of all the wonderful Milsurp guns flooding the market. It was a fun time to buy Mausers, Swiss K31, AK's, etc. Ammo was cheap then too, especially to feed those old guns. Even if Covid didn't hit, those days are over.

I did get into some other new hobbies though, and discovered the wonder of air guns.

More. But not really pandemic related, just a matter of circumstances. I have more than plenty ammunition. I actually sold several thousand rounds to fellow shooters who needed it. The only exception is 5.7x28, it’s hard to find and I’m still in the process of working up loads and processes so I don’t have a good reserve of it. 5.7x28 is a ‘different’ little beast.
Like a lot of others I’d like to have more small rifle primers, but Im ok on inventory if I can buy a few bricks at a sane price in the next 6 months or so.
I did abandon plans to get into 6.8 SPC but again, not covid related, it just seems to be a fading caliber.
My gun buying is way up (out of hand??), I’ve added 7 so far this year, and a friend has a very nice ‘43 vintage 1895 Nagant pistol he’s wanting to sell….
