What does "the ultimate revolver" look like to you, and who makes something close?

That’s one casual observation, for sure. But it’s not an accurate one, and here is why.

Most (maybe 90%?) of the threads on THR are opinion polls about something that cannot be measured and analyzed. Not science. So your references to biases also do not apply, because they are in the context of science. People often confuse these, it happens way more often than not.

This thread specifically is a popular opinion poll. Nothing more, and nothing less. And in opinion polls, every opinion counts and those opinions are not dumb, as you are implying with Dunning-Kruger, regardless if said opinion is in the majority or not.
Yeah, uh, no.
Definition of ultimate:

noun
  • 1.the best achievable or imaginable of its kind
Absolutely, references to biases apply. Look, I'm a huge revolver fan. But I also try to stay grounded in reality and remember that, as far as handguns go, a revolver is not necessarily the best choice should a handgun be required. I adore fine quality single action revolvers, and am the world's biggest S&W and Colt fan when it comes to DA/SA revolvers. And I'd have no problem carrying a revolver in harm's way. But:

"Ultimate?" Guys are espousing their choices of heavy guns possessed of mediocre trigger pulls and sub-optimal ergonomics. Let's leave aside the question of capacity or caliber effectiveness.

But, here's one of my ultimate revolvers: the esteemed S&W Model 63

The OP did specify "revolver" so semi autos are irrelevant to his question. I think we all know there's no correct answer to the OP's question but it's fun to look at the member's photos of their favorites that in some way make theirs the "best".
