I prefer a snub revolver For carry over all others. My 44spl’s Are some of my Favorites. A extra Cylinder and Barrel for the 696 just because.

Over the years, I had a Rossi for a short time and built a 3" Colt Detective Special out of a late model Police Positive by having the barrel swapped.

2 years ago, I traded for a 3" Taurus 431 .44spl. It was stainless and had a square butt. It was about 34oz and felt like a duty gun due to the size and weight. I sold it but probably shouldn't have.

I went on a rabbit trail of Charter Arms revolvers for about 2 years. I had a blued 3" original Bulldog .44spl and a stainless original 3" Bulldog. Nice balance. I had an original Undercover 38. I had 2 identical 3" Police Undercover 38+P 6 shot adjustable sights guns made at the factory last year. Timing issues plagued one gun and it was returned twice before they built me a new one. The new one was sent to me with the wrong height front sight so it went back and was corrected. I promptly sold all my Charter Arms and pursued used S&W's.

I bought a S&W model 15-3 about a 11 months ago at a pawnshop for $330. It had originally come from the factory in 1977 with a 2" barrel but someone had put a 6" model 14 barrel on it. I found a barrel on ebay for $25 and my gunsmith swapped the barrel for $40.

I then bought a S&W model 36-3 Lady Smith with a 3" heavy barrel. That is currently my wife's gun.

I bought a model 10-8 with a round butt and a 4" heavy barrel for about $280 if I remember correctly. It is at my gunsmith getting the barrel chopped to 3", with a dovetail front sight and the barrel will have a slabside. He will parkerize it too.

I bought a 4" HB model 64-5 this week for $325. It will get chopped too. The 2 pictures attached are from the internet of what my 3" K frames will look similar to.

Love the snubby M15!

Next one I see (and Ive only ever seen 2) is coming home with me, dont care what the price......:D

Oh, BTW, if you still have the 6" barrel, I think Riomouse needed one for his bulged M14, last I heard. Might PM him to see if he wants it.

Most of my 3"-and-under collection is captured in my "J-frame family" photo (just knock off the 4" Model 63)... Fortuitously, I also included the three NAA mini-revolvers in the pic, which are all 3" and under... :D Going left to right for each row, the revolvers are placed in chronological order of manufacture...

Unless I'm missing something, the only other 3"-and-under revolvers I have are the S&W Model 65:
