Tuning a Daisy Powerline 1000?

Same gun as a Winchester 1000X. I started in repairing and upgrading. I am at the point that I need some help with the powerplant. I have seen references to a couple of PDFs originally posted on another (dead) forum by Russ Sauer. Any chance one of you might still have a copy of these two files?

Or maybe somebody who has been down that road with a Hatsan springer?

Don't understand what are you trying to do with the Daisy Rifle..

Right now I am trying to disassemble the power unit to inspect the piston and seal, probably do some upgrades.
I'm on hold until I know I can do it safely. I'll build a spring compressor.

Also, I have removed the barrel from the receiver (to press on a muzzle device) by taking out the pivot bolt. Now I can't align the holes to put it back due to the tension of the locking lugs. Is there a trick to that?
