So far I've learned to NOT shoot lead bullets through a Glock. I've learned you CAN shoot Lyman #2 Lead bullets from a Glock. I've heard Glocks hate them, Glocks like them Glocks are indifferent to them. Now I'm researching Powder Coated and the pros and cons. So far there doesn't seem to be a consistent answer other than Glock will not warranty if you use reloads. and Henry will not either. The trouble is lately if you like to shoot it's difficult to do so unless you reload and even them you may still be screwed by availability of supplies. I have to drive 70 miles round trip to buy 40S&W or 10mm and they run around $1.00 a piece. Reloads cost me $.22 to .30 a piece but my stock won't last forever and even Berry's run .16 a bullet IF you can find them. ANy opinions?

If you are asking can you shoot powder coating lead in your Glock I would say have at it
I have shot thousands through my g23 ,
g22 . g17 and g19 not one issue.

I shot thousands of wheel weight bullets tumble lubed through my stock gen 3 Glock 17 and 17L with no issues. Proper sizing and proper hardness for the velocity and pressure is the key. Now I’m shooting powder coated and the lead is 50/50 ww to pure in a gen 3 g17, an 8” AR-9, and a few others.

I have had 0 issues with any of them and honestly I don’t clean them often other than a little oil inside now and again. I usually clean the barrels about every 10k whether they need it or not, but I will clean the rest of the gun every few months and oil it. Never had any leading or problems with the powder coating coming off.

Every manufacturer advises your warranty is voided with the use of reloads, that is normal as they have no control over what you load, they don’t know your skill level, and some folks just like to hot rod everything so they just advise against it as a general rule. The last 5 guns I have bought/ built have had no factory ammo through them, and a couple older ones only have had a box or two outside of the factory. I’m not new at this, and I believe I’m experienced enough to do it safely and properly so should something bad happen I’ll determine my mistake and accept that I’m liable to repair it myself.

I've shot acme bullets through my Glock without issue. I will say that I also bought a fully supported barrel for it, but have shot them through a stock barrel without issue.

A lot of law enforcement shoot at my range and I have to bulge bust their 40 because of Glock barrels. Some I just toss for scrap because it's so bad. You might want to lol into another barrel if you have bulge issues.

I learned I can shoot as many soft lead bullets (bhn 10) through a stock Glock 22 as I want by doing it. Save for the #2 for magnums.

I shot a couple hundred PC bullets through my Walther PDP a couple of weeks ago. No lead but quite a bit of polymer deposits in the barrel. I've never had a problem with PC bullets in my other standard groove guns (P320, XD, 1911, M&P9/40, Shield9, 92fs). I've been PC'ing for about 6 years and shoot about 10k/year.

I used the old trick of Chore Boy wrapped around a bore mop and the stuff came out in less than a minute of scrubbing. I'll do some more testing with fatter boolits to see if it's a sizing issue or if it's simply the nature of the polygonal barrel.

I shoot a lot of powder coated lead bullets through my Walther PPQ (with polygonal rifling). I clean the barrel after I'm done at the range and everything is fine.
I'm using a LEE 0.357" die to size the bullets before loading. I get more leading when using a 0.356" die.

Did the OP mention what gen his Glock is ?
I think the gen 5 has a land and grove barrel ?
