Took the venerable '17 Enfield back to the range yesterday. I had opened up the barrel channel to re-float the barrel after wood stock moved a bit. Success was mine. The old rifle yielded one 12 rd group and one 4 rd group worthy of a modern rifle. Sierra 168 match kings & Viht N140. These groups are about as good as this 78 YO can hold.

PoPo22, yes, 100 yard groups, fired with a bipod no bag, just a well worn shoulder.

Hard to find an Enfield with a good bbl. You have a "keeper" there. That's a fine shooting one you have there. What distance were you shooting from? Rod
