I mainly pocket carry my PC Shield 1.0 and my Pico and I'm considering replacing them the new higher capacity double stack models.

The Shield works for pocket carry for me with cargo shorts, even though it is on the large side. I was looking for any experiences which any of the other brands that might be a better choice

Take a look at the Sig P365.
After over fifty years of concealed carry and many different guns, I quit looking when I handled a P365 with a safety.
I carry it OWB or in a pants pocket depending on circumstances.
Minute of cow turd accuracy out to around 25 yards.
You can add an additional two rounds to the factory magazines with Mag guts conversion kits.

If you're already carrying a Shield that's comfortable, you should take a hard look at the Shield Plus. Much improved trigger and minimally wider in the grip. 10+1 and 13+1 capacity

SA Hellcat here, but I don't pocket carry it. It needs an IWB or OWB holster. Just my opinion, of course. Very accurate gun even at 25 yards which is my minimum for self defense carry. LCPII in a pocket holster for a back up gun which I rarely carry. 10 yards is about it for me. IMG_3704.JPG

SIG P365 has the most established track record. Shield Plus and LCP Max are a bit late to the party and need some time to prove themselves, IMO.

I have a regular Shield and a P365. Despite being a bit wider, the P365 goes better in a front pants pocket, mostly due to the size and shape of the grip. I don't have any direct experience of the LCP Max, but it appears to be the most pocketable of the three.

Sig P365xl in a Desantis pocket holster.
Sometimes I'll carry a Sig P250sc in the pocket, no holster, the DAO trigger is firm enough not to worry about it.

Although the P365SAS was close in length, height, as a LCP, it sure was heavy to pocket carry. Very accurate out to 25 yards, if you have time to find the bullseye and center it. Terrible sight design! Imho, it needs to be on a belt holster.

I could pocket carry an LCP, the Kahr CW380 was marginal. The P365 might fit somebody else's pockets, the part to keep in mind is 1) its four rounds heavier minimum 2) is your waistline narrower than your hips. Adding a back up magazine with 10 rounds isn't light, either. That is eight more rounds compared to a 6 shot magazine, 12 vs 20.

The extra ammo is "nice to have" but it doesn't make an earlier 6 shot totally ineffective or useless. Much like having a 1/2 ton truck and wanting a 3.4 ton, it's bigger and carries more, but will you actually use that capacity? I've sold auto parts and lot of owners make decisions on social standing and style points. Just saying.

I found the extra weight of the P365 to be manageable, it was an upgrade from .380 in daily carry. It wasn't unnoticeable, tho, and it was one of the offsetting characteristics which I found to be tolerable. Some might not.

Ruger LC9S or EC9S. A hair smaller than the 365, but more pocketable due to the shape. Much cheaper, too.

The only gun I pocket carry is an M&P Bodyguard.380.
