Looks like some interesting rifles are getting dropped by CZ today...

I like the lux the action is nice looking, the safety looks like a vertical cross bolt but in the tang. Haven't see the bolt face yet but looks fush feed maybe with a sako style extractor,

I don't see why cz stopped making there 550 crf action they sold very well, if it was about money they could have added a few hundred bucks and most wouldn't have cared. The members over on the African hunting forum are up set the 550 is gone, it's very popular over there and is the work horse for the PH's. Word is the 527 will be fazed out soon to.

Finally someone is putting a lock on the detachable magazine, and see you can get a 224 Valkyrie so there behind times or there not paying attention since the valk is nearly dead.

Seen some videos, bolt is like a sako 85 6 lug 60° but with a added plunger to keep the round to the bolt face. So it should be a semi crf. There's a steel and aluminum action, the steel uses rem 700 bases the aluminium has a built in pic rail.

Barrels are quick change, have to remove the screw on the action once out of the stock, bolt dose lock when on safe. Can be too loaded and the magazine lock is a nice option.

The trail action is aluminum has a collapsible stock like a pdw, the 223 uses ar mags and the 7.62x39 uses bren 2 mags.

I heard a rumor that CZ was discontinuing the 527 series of rifles. With these new rifles it's easier to see that that may be true.

It'll be interesting to see if they roll the trail out in 6.5G or 6ARC.

A lighter profile barrel would be a nice option too. Get it closer to #5.5 than just over #6.
Would be nice tho cz has always been slow to add cartridges. They do have 6.5 prc the 224 Valkyrie make little sense.

Think there different length actions so t hats nice, barrels are supposed to be quick change so a new barrel maybe available soon.

I "respect" CZ firearms. But I just can't "like" them. Part is the Euro styling I suppose. I had a 452 American in 22LR for quite a while and it was accurate enough in spite of a horrible trigger. I did like that stock design and it was the only one I was interested in.

Is anyone still importing the Interarms MK X rifles. At one time they were well thought of as an inexpensive alternative for a reliable CRF rifle. I've had a couple of those over the years and liked them well enough. They could be a little rough, but with some work weren't bad and were always reliable.

A few years ago the had a updated line of zastava but I haven't seen any imported, think I remember trying to find some for sale but no luck. The cz are much better rifles they last the guys many times longer in the field. I don't see ruger holding on to the 77 much longer they aren't even making a blue and walnut rifle.

If you ask my wife one of the things that I am really good at is inventing reasons to buy a new gun.....and with that in mind I could see how the Trail could make a great coyote calling rifle. I like to make a large walking loop when I am calling and and try to get them pretty close. I 6.1 pound, rifle with a collapsable stock would be pretty easy to pack around. I like that it uses AR mags and has a 1/7 twist. This is not the type of rifle that I typically go for, but I interested in this one. I can't wait to read some reviews on the 600 to bet a better idea about how is shoots.

Hearing the 527 is going away makes me sad, I really want two more. I missed out on the 550 FS I wanted, then the 550 magnum went away. Now the micro Mauser?! What is a CRF fan to do. That 600 trail is kinda cool though.

A sad day indeed. Those new 600s are hideous compared to my lovely 527. And mine isn’t even the pretty version, it’s the grey beechwood rustic one. Maybe they’re “better” guns from a whiz bang features point of view, but they certainly don’t have the panache of the older models.
