Go shooting in the morning and have some fun. When you get home, eat some turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes...

When you're stuffed, go for a walk around the block a few times. Then get ready for dessert, strawberry cheesecake with a big drop of whip cream on top!!!

If you have any part of the bird leftover, take him with you to the range. Load up some #8 shot and remind him who's boss!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving THR!

Enjoy the day

Be THANKFUL!

This will be our first holiday without Mom.
It could have been the first without me.

It had not been a good year for us, but we have much to be thankful for. 1st great-grandbaby due in January. What a way to the New Year on a positive.

Bless you All, Happy Holidays, great hunting

Worked at the rifle range yesterday and we were somewhat busy even though we are now in the middle of gun deer season. Today the range is closed for the Holiday. Work again tomorrow and for tomorrow they are offering 50% off everything so will see how busy we get. From what I have heard they already have the Sporting Clays sold out for the day.

Happy Holiday to all and I am Thankful to all here that have provided help in my endeavors this past year! Great group of people here.

To all the members here. We lost a few this year, their wit and wisdom will be missed. We gained quite a few new members too. Hope everyone has family and loved ones around to share blessings. Please remember those who are far away and can't be with there loved ones.

I am so thankful for THR! The premier location for firearms information!:)

I am thankful for binary triggers.

I am very thankful to find to be finding reloading components and equipment lately. (Because of said trigger.)

I am super thankful my Mini-Amazon likes to hang out with her Dadibear with a rifle in the woods, and Littlebear can outshoot her, for now.;)

I am happy my parents returned from Florida, without leaving one or the other there.(It was 50\50 who would “forget” who…:D)

I thank God that we are still free, again, for now.o_O

And Desert Eagles.

I'd also like to wish everyone here a happy Thanksgiving. Taking a moment to reflect on what we're truly thankful for sometimes gives us better perspective on what really matters.

I'm thankful for this forum and the ability it gives us to learn, grow and share the firearm passion. Very grateful for the contributions made by some of the folks that are no longer with us, that their wisdom continues to point us in the right direction.

I'm also thankful for the moderators who keep it on the straight and narrow, and the admin who keeps it humming along.

I'm incredibly thankful for my dad, who introduced me to shooting, hunting, and reloading. I'm very thankful I grew up and live in a state that's mostly firearm friendly in an area where a lot of the people I know have similar interests.

Most of all, I'm thankful that firearms rights are written into our Constitution, woven into the fabric of our Republic, by people who had the foresight to know how important that was. Oh, and progressive presses. Really appreciate whoever came up with that idea.

Pulled this off the smoker late last night. Spiral cut brown sugar glazed. Pay no attention to the burned drippings on the cookie sheet but listen to the crackling sound of pure smokey deliciousness.
Happy 400th Thanksgiving!

Dropped the Turkey loading it into the smoker at about 3 this morning. Woulda been bad enough, except I picked it up and dropped it again, so it got pretty well coated in grass, leaves and dirt.
Ended up with roasted boneless turkey breast instead.

Food was great, family was ok (mostly). Thankful they're all still around!
Happy Thanksgiving all!

In my original post. I forgot to say thank you to all those who make The High Road possible. As has been said before, and better, this IS the best shooting forum around. Seldom find snarky or condescending comments, new folks are always welcomed. This could not be possible without the dedicated moderators and tech support. Hope you all het a raise soon (LOL).

Thankfulness

On Thanksgiving 2021

Should have put this down yesterday.

First I’m thankful that I and my family live in the freest and strongest country in the world. Where we have the choices to live, work, worship and partake in those things that we as a family (not some Government thug) decide to do.

Second, I’m thankful for that 1775/76 band of misfits that founded the country we now know as the United States of America. I’m thankful for their courage, foresight and determination to see their actions thru even during times of despair and hopelessness.

Third, I’m thankful for my ancestors who almost 400 years ago decided to leave their country of birth and seek their fortune and freedom in a new world.

Fourth, I’m thankful for my parents and grandparents, who guided me on the path to becoming the person that I am today. It’s way too late to thank them, but I’m pretty sure that they’re looking down as I type this.

Lastly, I’m thankful for all my fellow Americans who today 400 years after that first Thanksgiving continue to make this country what it has become and will be in the future that our grandchildren will live to see.
