Snagged some .22 LR on the fly!

My wall Mart has no .22 at all. A couple of boxes of 30-06 is about it. They do have some birdshot in 12 gauge, which seems to be scarce around me.

I keep seeing 22 LR at most of the wal marts around here and I keep seeing those 50 packs of the CCI and these yellow boxes of Winchester bulk packs.

That’s a nice little gift to yourself

I found the 250 packs of Aguila 36 gr Hp for 19 bucks the other day, not a sparkling price but better than what I’ve seen for quite a while.

I bought a case (2k). :)

Stay safe.

WM stores around here have been getting .22 intermittently. Makes me glad I stocked up when I did. Congratulations on a good score!

Our Walmart sells out as quick as they get anything, we are a rural one that still sells some, go up to the city and they don't stock any.

Our local Bass Pro has been able to keep some of it around quite a bit lately. Same for the local gun showroom I frequent. Haven't bought any, though, as I still have plenty.

My Walmart has tons of Federal Automatch and some kind of Winchester in retro yellow boxes?

The Federal Auto Match shoots decent in everything I've tried it in and good in a couple of rifles. A MKIII Ruger I've used it in doesn't function reliably on it.

The Winchester is supposed to be Power Points, and if it is the same as the old ones, they're as good as anything Winchester ever made in bulk. A couple of my semi-autos didn't like their longer profile, but they were really accurate.

And it was the best part of my last minute Christmas shopping. I strolled by and noticed .22 LR ammunition at Walmart. They had 4 or 5 different brands, with a limit of three boxes per customer. I paid $4.99 for CCI standard velocity, which my Buckmark loves.

You could make it a happy new year too, if you ordered it directly from CCI. Limit 10 50 round boxes on the standard velocity from them but you can add others to obtain the free shipping.

Also a limit of 10 on the mini mag but that’s boxes of 100.

How’s that for snagging my own stocking stuffer?!? :D Ho ho ho!!!

Sounds good to me. I found 100 round boxes at the local farm and ranch store for $10.85 a box. Instead of driving to Walmart which is a 40 mile trip for limited ammo I drove 8 miles and stuffed my stocking with 800 rounds of SV.

Yesterday the local Scheels store had the shelves filled with lots of ammo but it was a little pricey. They had a lot of .22 LR @ $9.90 per 50. They had some bulk in 200 round cartons @ $20. I passed as I am still pretty well stocked. No primers and little powder in the reloading section though.

found some cci sv at walmart. 50 rd boxes with 3 box limit. $4.83/50 rds( most expensive I've seen in walmart). still quite a bit left. i may swing by tomorrow again.

Sylva, NC Walmart. Picked up 2 boxes of Federal Auto Match, 325 rounds each. $21 and change + tax. The yellow box Winchester was 300 rounds, $40 each.

Congrats! Our local Wally-World had some Federal 325 packs for $18.99 the other day, limit three. I'd gotten a gift card for $50 for Christmas, and after that I wound up only having to spend $16 of my own money. Pretty good score, if I'm honest. No centerfire rifle or pistol ammo of any kind. There was no bird shot either, but plenty of 3" steel shot for duck and goose hunting. Wish they'd get some trap loads in, need to stock up for this years dove shoot.

I found an entire case (8 boxes) of those at Orscheln's right before Christmas. Not only were they having a 10% off ammo sale, they were also having a promotion where if you signed up for their "grow card" they gave another 10 or 15 percent off. I wound up at around $0.07 per round in them, which is the cheapest 22lr I've been able to find around here in long, long time. They shoot well in all my rifles and pistols, so I'm rather pleased all the way around.

found the same again today in our local walmart and picked up 3 boxes.fed automatch for $21.16. they also had the super x 22lr winchester 300 rd boxes for $40. what is interesting is there's a single 100 rd red container of the same for $10 and change. isn't that the same bullet? why more expensive in a bulk box?

So that’s a positive at least as .22 ammo goes. At least things are getting a little better. Not a bad start to 2022.

Now if I could just find a box or two of .308 Winchester federal premium loaded with 180 grain nosler partitions, I’d be a really happy camper!
