TC auction

Mine has crept up but stayed steady for a couple days now. Still half what a new one would be. Got my eye on that 32-20 too.

My max bid on the 20rd mauser mag and stuff was outbid. Oh well.

If you've ever needed a barrel or complete TC handgun, check this out. They even have a unicorn .41 mag and .256win barrel. I believe this is an old IHMSA shooters estate. Some very interesting calibers and options here. I checked a few of these a few days ago in person. All appear to be very well cared for. Some honest wear, but no signs of abuse on any.

@Barbaroja Saw your post in the TC contender thread. Check out this auction. Only one I'm after is one of several .357 barrels.

There are several complete guns, and a .357 Herrett and .35 Rem barrel that would suit your purposes from the other thread nicely.
I will be bidding on all the 357 barrells just because you posted this :p

I dont care for the hotshot or older taper barrels... not sure why bot but all mine are bull barrels I started late. Dad had a super 14 357 herrett and I started with a 14" 45/70 and a 14" 22 barrel- stainless during a buy a contender get a barrel for free promotion a long time ago...picked up a few other barrels along the way..
btw the I hope ya win all seven had me Laughing hard... I have had that happen before :p

And now that higher bid is gone and id already bid on another barrel. Thats twice it has said Ive been outbid then that bid disappears. ***!?
I've never seen that before. I'd contact the auction house. I got one of the. 357 barrels for probably too much money but I'm still happy as it's less than a new one and I can pick it up in person close to home. . Somebody got a decent deal on an Oberndorf Swedish Mauser. Couldn't actively bid as I'm re-lighting gas in Superior CO. Tallpaul, hope you didn't get in too deep on a 357 barrel. I got the one I wanted under my limit LOL.

haha... I did not bid on any of the 357's that I remember... if I did it would have been early. I was just messing with the OP because he had to go blabbing about the auction bringing higher prices :p I bid on a fair number of them when the auction had opened I was really wanting the .44 super 16 and the 16" stainless .22lr but I was not paying that. I have 2 10" 357 barrels already... one blue , one stainless- the blued was supposed to be already reamed to 357 max but it had not been and instead of returningto the seller he discounted it enough that I kept it....

Glad you got what you wanted!

There were a few guns in would have liked, including that Marlin 100 Tom Mix Special. But I didnt want to mess with FFL transfers. I liked that funky "fitzed" pistol with the weird grip and folding trigger too. Did you see the acid dipped single 1911 mag that went for over $100?

I got an email (a flurry of them actually) that the high bid had been retracted. I just didnt see it. Yeah, I could almost buy a new barrel for the price but oh well! Thats the way auctions work. I got the 357/44 dies, the 30 herrett dies, and a set of 256WM dies when I had a bid on that barrel. Also got a box of 40 44Hotshot rounds.

Well i got the package from Lampi Auction house today. 256WM, 30Herrett, and 357/44 B&D dies, 40 rounds of 7.5 shot 44 Hotshot, and the 357/44 super 14 barrel.

The barrel is in beautiful shape, with not even a frame marking on it. Bore is very clean and shiney. I dont think it was fired very much. Front sight has a tiny speck of rust, as do the dies. The kind that forms from sitting for long periods of time. Im talking no bigger than 3/16". Overall im very satisfied, other than spending a hundo more than i wanted to.

Glad you ended up with some hard to find goodies. My .357 barrel looks in similar condition to yours. There is a very light handguard shadow, it was mounted at one time, but appears very little used. It is the upgraded mirror gloss version and upgraded rear sight with positive locks that didn't show up in the pictures. The benefit of being able to inspect in person. It is missing the handguard screw lock dovetail dingus, but no big deal as I had a spare from the TC I purchased already. Already installed and shot it in the severe cold this weekend. I didn't have much patience for shooting tight groups at -5F, but managed 5 inside an inch at 25 yards with my basic 125 gr cast .38spl plinker load. The lube was extra smokey at these temperatures, and actually formed small whiskers at the muzzle. Never seen that before, so I tried it on a revolver and it did the same thing. Interesting how the laws of physics seem to change below zero!

Mine is also the super mirror shiney finish with a nice rear sight with what looks like a detent under the windage screw. Both dinguses (lol!) are in their place too.

Mounted the barrel to my frame and it instantly made marks from the front frame corners... Looks lile i have a bit of polishing to do! But it does mount and lock up good. Easy to open too.

I've had several different calibers in TC pistol. My favorite are 44 mag and 223 rem.
I have a TC 223 Rem. 22 lr adptor.
