Favorite Gun of 2021?

I bought two this year, both handguns. A Sig P365xl and a Ruger LCP 2 in 22LR. It’s hard to call one or the other a favorite because they serve such different purposes. I’ve been pleased with both.

2021 wasn't a big gun year for me, given the prices of everything, but I did buy a PSA AR-10 a couple of months ago. I wish I would have bought one a decade ago. Although I don't have many rounds through it, and am still working up a good load to run through it, I'd say it's my favorite gun of 2021.

I think only bought one in 2021, traded for a second. But of the two the HK45c is the favorite. It’s one of my overall favorites.

What is your most favorite gun that you’ve bought in 2021, and if not bought, have just been using and enjoying the most this year?....
Goodness gracious, decisions, decisions . . . .

I'm trying to remember which ones I bought in 2021, and I have to admit that 2020 and 2021 kind of run together for me. And I honestly don't buy and sell that much. My collection is pretty small, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. And as you might expect, I'm still on my .22 kick.

Favorite rifle. I'm almost 100% certain I bought it in 2021.

I call it "The Rat." Ruger American Rimfire, Target model. It's easily more accurate than I am and stupid quiet when suppressed. I don't know that it's my all-time favorite, as it has to compete with my 10/22 for that, but it's the favorite rifle that I (think I) bought in 2021.

Favorite .22 Pistol. I bought this at the end of 2017, but it saw a lot of range time in 2021.

Favorite carry pistol. This is the only carry pistol I bought in 2021, but I sure do like it a lot! I carry it easily 95%+ of the time that I carry.

The only gun bought this year:
Zastava ZPAP. Having kept a piece of nearly each used cardboard ammo box in a labeled baggy , it has used approx. 1,000 rds. with zero issues.

Typical wear marks are seen on the receiver's shoulder corners/edges and on the lugs at this point, as shown in the ZPAP endurance test videos by AKOU on Youtube.

An attractive gun coming out of the box (ie Youtube) actually means Nothing about the quality of a gun's grade of steel, heat treatment, Proper assembly (AKMs are very labor-intensive: QC), durability etc.

I adopted another Handi-rifle in 7mm-08. 20211214_144501.jpg
It's a tough choice. I've been wanting a Winchester saddle ring carbine for years. Anytime I can add a Handi-rifle to my collection....and the pellet rifle exceeded my expectations. It has taken some pressure off of my .22lr supply.

My favorite? You guessed it....the Winchester

I purchased a few guns that I planned out and really had wanted for a while but always put off due to availability and money not being in sync when the opportunities were there, but I was patient and strategic in 2021. Hard to pick one as I like them all for different reasons, but if I have to pick one I'll choose my Uberti Cattleman .22lr 12 round. I had a number of SAA .22lr clones over the decades, but they all were lacking either functionally and/or aesthetically so a nice quality 10-12 rd model was not available when I had the funds and vice versa. Anyway, this one I found across the country from an FFL who looked out for one and really came through for me. The grips are not original, but a pair of NOS vintage Jay Scott faux pearls which I thought looked nice on it. It's not quite as charcoal blue looking as the color balance/lighting in the pic shows, but it does have a very deep gorgeous finish which is a bit nicer than I've experienced on the standard models.

I love Zastavas, 3 or 4 years ago I bought an OPAP and an NPAP underfolder. it's amazing how much they went up, I think I paid 650 each back then.
