Hodgdon by a landslide for me. I’ll usually burn 30-40lbs of Varget, 16-24lbs of H4350, and 10-15lbs of H110 per year in recent years.

Well this year I loaded a BUNCH of 8x57, so I used a pile of CFE223. All things being equal, I try to keep it to just a few powders that cover all my needs. Right now I have CFE223, H4895 on hand. IMR 4895, 4350 & 7828. Reloader 17 and Ramshot Big Game. CFE223 & 7828 are my two most used powders.

The only brands I haven't used are Ramshot and Vihtavuori. This mostly because I can't ever find the Ramshot I'm looking for and Vihtavuori costs more than I am willing to spend. I either use, or have used, several powders from each of the other brands. Probably would have to say IMR 4064, H380, IMR 4227, CFE223, Accurate 1680, and Reloader 7 are at the top of a long list.

It's 2022, whatever is in stock or I have in the stash. Beggars can't be choosers. Have you seen what people are getting for an 8lber of Varget?!?

I got lucky several years ago before all this madness started. Powder Valley just got some 8# jugs in of H4350 and Varget. I ordered a case of each. When I run out of bullets, the powder will be be almost gone too. The barrels will likely be shot out by then too. I don't like changing lots if I don't have too. I try to have a balance of powder and bullets on hand.

About 15 years ago, right after I got my M1a, I ordered 2 8# cans of IMR4895, along with some other stuff, including a case of .380 ammos. I must have double-tapped the 'Order' button, because 2 separate orders arrived a day behind each other, and... yes... my credit card was suitably whacked. So... 32# of IMR4895 and 2 cases of .380 ammos, among other things. I was mad as a wet hornet for a while, as was the Master of the Checkbook... and then the First Dark Age of Reloading arrived... and I wasn't mad anymore. Not only did that powder carry me through 15 years of rifle loading, I had ammos for the .380's when there was absolutely NONE to be had for years.

God takes care of fools and drunks...

IMR is easier to get right now; 4064 and 4831SC. Haven't seen Alliant Red Dot, Unique and Bullseye; and Hodgdon Universal and CFE Pistol haven't been around since 2019. I found some PB and have been loading that for pistol and shotgun.

Would have been a bummer if you found out you didn't like 4895.

The only powder I have run across locally is Hodgdon Lil Gun. Haven't seen any IMR. Of course, I don't live in Cabela's because it's 30 miles away.

I only load for rifles. Hodgdon/Alliant/ Vihtavuori/IMR . I got lucky last summer got 8lbs/7828ssc,8lbs/R-26.

I've reloaded with most of the powders listed, except the VV. But these days the my most used is Universal and CFE Pistol. But I have some surplus that I use; BR-5 (9mm and 38 Spc.) and WC 820 (357 and 44 Magnums)...

Alliant then hodgdon for semi auto pistol
Ramshot for semi rifle and revolver....of course there are some exceptions depending on availability or usage etc.

I voted Alliant: RL-16, 23, 26, 2400, and Unique.
But Hodgdon is a close second with Varget, H4350, Tite Group, and Trail Boss.

I can't be the only Accurate powder guy??? I do use Ramshot, Alliant, IMR also but I probably use more Accurate than the others.
Me too. I don't understand why there isn't more votes for Accurate powder. I really like them, #5 #7 and #9 are my go to powders.#5 is awesome for 9mm so is #7, and #9 makes some heat in the 44 mag. Good stuff

When I began reloading, Alliant powders were all I used. As I increased the number of calibers I reloaded for, I also began using Hodgdon & IMR powders. I am at the point now where it is probably about 50:50 between Alliant and Hodgdon. I do keep one AA powder (AA9) on hand and sometimes use it in magnum revolver loads.
