CZ RAMI help

Morning, everyone. I'm in need of advice/assistance. I haven't taken down my RAMI in awhile, so I decided to field strip it and give it a good cleaning.

Problem is, I can't get the blasted slidestop to pop out. At ALL. While fiddling with it, I also discovered that the slide won't lock open. I've checked the CZ forums and haven't been able to get a clear answer. Thanks for any help.
 
If you are attempting to lock the slide open to remove the slide stop and take down the pistol, don't. That is not how a CZ75 style gun takes down.

There is are witness marks (corresponding lines) on the slide and frame right above where the web of your hand would grip the pistol. You need to line up the slide witness mark with the frame witness mark. I usually use the edge of a table to push the button end of the slide stop while aligning the witness marks to push the slide stop pin/lever out where I can grip and finish removing with my fingers.

See the picture on the link below to see what I'm talking about, with the gun in battery the lines would be offset, the picture is showing the slide moved to align with the frame mark, the takedown lever would now be ready to be pushed out.

Oh, I wasn't trying to lock the slide while disassembling, I just discovered that it won't. My RAMI doesn't have those marks, btw, 16424412360351364310726.jpg
 
It looks like you move the slide back enough to just touch the hammer in the half cock position. It's the same spot as if the gun had the witness marks. Your gun should take down like the one in the YouTube video even though you don't have the BD version.

That's weird, I wonder why they didn't provide the witness marks on the RAMI. I've only seen one of those in person once or twice and didn't pay much attention. I'm just used to CZ's having them.

Like @browneu said just move the slide back to where it contacts the hammer about to the half cock position and try pressing the pin out.
 
On my Rami I push the slide back til it taps the hammer on halfcock as stated above. I then slide it back and forth a bit while putting slight pressure on the pin with the baseplate of the magazine. It is slightly past the half cock on my model but wouldn't be surprised if it can vary fractions of an inch between models. I'll have to check if I have witness marks on mine when I get home.

This is a big assumption but I think the first line on the rear slide serrations is supposed to line up with the end of the frame. That's what I can tell from the video and from the owners manual. This is also why they couldn't put witness marks on the gun.

On my PCR I always did the Glock takedown maneuver of placing web of hand against the beavertail and pointer and middle finger up over the slide to squeeze/milk the slide back enough and push the takedown lever button against an edge of a table.

At least the RAMI owners based on the picture above still have something to reference for takedown with the serrations if like you said it lines up correctly.
 
I have to press the stop onto my workbench or use some plastic device like the mag in the picture. Once you get some move,ent, pry the stop from the lever side with your fingers.
 
Well, I managed to get it out, finally. With a mallet and brass punch. Aaaand, I discovered the problem: a year's worth of crud buildup cause it to seize up. I should've taken a picture, honestly, or was kinda disgusting, LOL. The buildup looked like a mix of oxidation, grease, dirt, and Lord knows what else. I should maybe clean it more often, after range days, huh? I scrubbed everything down, and it works like it should again.
 
Reminds me of the mag release ony P07. After a couple years of carry and shooting I cleaned it often enough. Never thought to put any oil on the spring of the mag release. Swapped out to a different gun for reasons for a month or so and when I went back to the P07 the release was stiff and once I got the mag out the gun wouldn't hold a mag in place. Just rust and crud in a spot I never considered getting dirty.
