No affiliation with them, yada yada. I've emailed them twice. Multiple calls to the 2 different numbers yields disconnected. Yet the website seems to still be up and running. Anybody know for sure if they're running or out of business?

-jb, x-posted elsewhere

I’ve heard several accounts of people not being able to get in contact with them for the past year or so, and orders being placed but never delivered. I was planning on placing an order with them myself, but decided to go with Cast Performance instead due to the reports I’ve heard.

Interesting to say the least. They are still posting on the forum over there. I have not ordered from them in quite awhile because I had a pretty good stash. Use there Gas checked bullets in my .44 and 38-55 for hunting.

Thanks folks, all common responses. I can't figure out why the web page didn't come down, but I guess I'll have to assume they're gone. I just didn't want to send an order as a "test."

Stop posting made-up assumptions folks! Beartooth is still in business making and selling bullets. It’s a one man operation and like all of us he’s got a life. He did unload the forum onto his moderators to reduce his workload there, and spends the time he has making and shipping bullets and caring for an ill family member. Interruptions from tire kickers and needy customers take up a lot of his time, and the pandemic fallout has effected us all. He’s hardly the only small business owner with these limitations. Perhaps his problem is that he has too many customers…not such a bad problem to have.

From one of his senior mods: “If someone has done business with him before, they know several things: It's going to take a while, it's going to be a wonderful product. If someone needs every possible question answered that they asked in a DM, and needs daily status updates [they] should look elsewhere.”

Thank You sir! Finally a definitive answer to a specific question. If you have no objection I'll be happy to spread the good news. I'll look forward to doing business with him.

-jb, appreciate the reply.

Great, I need to order some more 355's! :D

I've ordered from Beartooth several times over the last 25yrs. It's always taken a while but I always got them. Placed an order last year from Grizzly/Cast Performance and the bullets I ordered were far different from those I received. It took some prodding to even get a response and the one I got was unapologetic. At no time did they offer to do as much as pay for return shipping. And I've talked to their proprietor every time I've been to the NRA show and we plugged his bullets at one of the "bovine bashes". Never again.

I know it's been months, but now the website is completely down, even for ordering... I placed an order on July 22, and haven't heard anything, but have had similar waits in the past. but now the website says "account suspended". any update on if Beartooth is still up and running?

Well that's not good. Excellent sized bullets for different applications will be missed. Not to mention lubed and gas checked. I guess I will need to ration what I have left for hunting purposes only. Those 265 grn WFNs at .431 took several deer out of my Rugers. Same bullet designed specifically made for 38-55s were sweet as well...
