How have hunting rifles changed as you've gotten older?

Growing up in Arkansas we saw Rem. 742s, 760s, and Marlin or Winchester 30-30 lever actions in the woods during deer season. Now it's more MSRs and Bolt Action rifles. But on occasion our group will break out the old time rifles.
