I have to say that I'm impressed and also that I did not expect them to be able to put a .38Spl cylinder on the gun. I'm really happy that you got your gun back. I really thought it was gone forever and that they would give you the choice of another gun out of current stock.

I had bought an early 10/22 with the walnut stock and aluminium buttpad with the disclosed problem, that the hammer had been messed with and that the gun doubled. I bought a Volquartsen hammer and a few other parts and rather fixed it on my dime.

Besides, I am actually quite happy with the old Ruger GP now that I think about it:).

I also had a great experience when dealing with Ruger customer service some years back.
It is incredible how much loyalty, business and profit can be gained by a company by simply treating their customers with courtesy and respect.
I should add that I received similar response from the former (original, not Remington) Marlin folks. I expect Ruger will also provide excellent customer service for their new Marlin products.

Good on Ruger for fixing your gun. I think highly of their customer service but because of the "times", I was sure they'ed just throw you a new 357 or just give you a pick from current stock. We knew they would treat you fair but this ended great. I'm glad my estimation was wrong.

Glock also has excellent customer service. I sent in a 28 year old Glock 19 for a refresher since it was a PD gun with many thousands of rounds of 124 grain Gold Dot]s, not to mention what the original owner might have put through it. They got it on 12/22, called me on 12/22, and the gun was back in my hands on 12/24. Virtually every internal component replaced other than the barrel and locking block, and shipped it back in a new factory hard case. Other than the new night sights I requested, they charged me not one penny. This is a company that advertises a 1 year warranty for original owner.

Thanks, JohnKSa! After hearing such things from several members I was worried, but I’m very happy they did the extra mile and made the gun correct instead of just scrapping it into the dustbin of history.

When My oldest (54) son in New Jersey finally decided to get his Firearm Card and three pistol permits when I bought him a good stand up safe this fall when I was there for a month and took him to ranges while there for MY full on firearms training :) , I sent him all Rugers !
Sent him a Colorado Centennial Single Six convertible , a GP100 4" .357 , and a Ruger American 9mm Compact (which I bought for a daughter who instead took my CZ P01 after she went thru the concealed carry Oregon course and afterward shot the CZ) with a couple 10 round mags it came with.
I knew these guns would be supported by Ruger, are pretty much neophite break proof and would work trouble free for him with good utube support, on his three issued pistol purchase permits.
Any problems I have ever had with any Ruger handgun over the years was great to deal with Ruger who have been MORE than fair. S&W has been pretty good, up till now, but Ruger continues to be outstanding ! They run their company in a way that makes America Great . IMHO.
