Here's a first for me. While sizing some 300 Blk cases, I had one case that had some resistance. The cases are all LC 5.56 converted. I took out the case, looked it over and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Put it back in the shell holder, still had resistance, ran the ram up. Took it back out, nothing, until I looked into the case.

Hmm, guess I should look a little better. I was fortunate that a small allen wrench was able to push out the 22lr case.

Yup, I've had those pesky little B-turds show up once in a while............
Caused me to slow down....
Funny thing is, I had all the case mouths pointed down at one point, sorting by headstamp. Never heard a peep from it. It would have scrapped out the case had it of been placed in the opposite direction, crumpled into the 300 Blk case.

I had about the same thing happen with 40 S&W. Had a 9mm inside one 40 case and I had a .380 case inside another. The first time it happened I broke the decap pin. The second time, I was able to remove the .380 case and saved a decapping pin. I got these from a neighbor for something metal work I did for him. Sh-t happens!! Experience is the best teacher, if you don't get hurt!! You didn't get hurt and didn't lose a pin, all's well that ends well.

You didn't even break a decapping pin?
I was resizing some new Starline 45 Colt brass I had test fired. I thought I had tumbled them by themselves so I was perplexed when the depriming pin got pushed up while resizing a case.

I went, "What the heck?" and saw a silver colored sleeve come down. I wondered what it was until I realized it was a nickel plated 380Auto case that must have been left/dropped in the tumbler. And no, tough Lee depriming pin didn't break.

Had the same thing happen, .22 lr jammed in a 357 Mag. I make habit of checking. It was wedged in there but good with media.
If loaded and undetected, there's a number of problems that could possibly follow. Don't want to find out.

Yep had the same problem but a little different . Using a universal decapping die felt some resistance , pulled the case and it was clear . Went ahead and put it back and deprimed with some resistance. Hmm pulled the case again and looked . It was free of obstruction and primer was removed . Checked the press ram and it operated smoothly and fully , oh well continued .

All is good but now every 5th to 10th primer does not get popped out . These are 308 LC once fired cases so I’m thinking extra crimp or something IDK but it starts getting annoying . I pull the die to adjust the pin lower and that’s when I see the 22lr case stuck on the decapping pin and the primer punch part had pierced right through the bottum of the 22 case . Pulled the case off the pin and all was good. It has happened a couple times since then but is quickly recognized now .
