I just picked this up from the shop and glad I went with this over the standard as I didn't care for how small the other model was. This is somewhat bigger but still small. I'm surprised the mag release is a little different from what I'm used to. I'd like to put a Hogue grip sleeve on this but has anyone had any issues with it affecting the ability to use the mag release? I would like to slip a Hogue on this just to give it more in the palm.

If it 'almost' fits, I've been successful in lightly trimming some of the sleeves. It just depends on the fit.

I'm not aware of any other grips for this gun. Curious if Pachmayr Tactical grip would work, but again, it might have the same issue and there may not be one to fit this gun. BTW, I notice the box didn't have anything to help with changing the grip module. Is this something you buy?

Wilson Combat just came out with grip modules that are likely to be an improvement over the factory grip. Their P320 modules are IMO a big improvement over any of the 320 factory modules.

I have one on the way and will give it a try. I have never gotten anything from Wilson I wasn't happy with.

I'm sure Wilson makes good grips but I don't read anything where anyone said it increased the width in any manner. Has anyone else installed a Hogue grip and can suggest how to do this easily? I read about it being a PIA, and being a woman, I'm not going to have the hand strength of men for pulling this grip on. Is there a system to do this without it being an all day event?

I dont see the validity of that in any way as a blanket statement

Imo, If you have the hand strength to handle the recoil you'll likely have the hand strength to put the sleeve on.

The Sigs are known for being easier to rack the slide. You need to google this. There's stories on a variety of forums about how difficult it is to put on, some going through three sets having ripped two in the process and calling Hogue for assistance. My hands have had injuries, and while I can rack the slides on my guns, my hands are not terribly strong, and I've used enough grip sleeves to know they're hard for me to slide on.

But you did it?

I'm not discounting what you're saying... I just don't want you to sell yourself short because of what you read on the internet.

A lot people recommend small calibers automatically because of assumptions of women hand strength.

My experience has been to take it slow and just inch it on to help prevent ripping.

I've heard of the boiling trick and getting it wet or using just a little bit of soap in the water.

Do you have someone to help?

Not really no, so I'll be following the Youtube vids for suggestions of how to do it and I'm swinging in favor of using Windex which is also what a gentleman recommended when he posted on easy install tricks.

By any chance, did you try any other guns? Seems like you are trying to 'fit' the gun to you after the purchase, "This is somewhat bigger but still small".

Now that you mentioned it... I've heard the windex trick too.

I've used windex to help put new grips on bike handlebars. Too much soap in water can dry a bit slimey & could make the bike grips to rotate.

According to the measurements it's a little larger and adds the palm swell. Not a lot of reviews because it has not been out in the wild to long. We shall see and for 65 bucks I wont cry if it's not an improvement. Just have a spare for back up. I never had luck with slip ons and the fit but maybe it was firearm specific problem...

Talon Grip tape made specifically for the P365 IMO is a far better option than a grip sleeve that may or may not need trimming. I've tried both and the Talon Grip tape is what I use on every pistol I own.

I have the regular 365, and added a Hogue grip sleeve soon after I bought it. Doesn't affect the mag release, but easy to trim it if it gives you a problem. Some of the above posts have good suggestions on how to make it easier to install. I just used finger strength, but it really wasn't that bad... Pic below is how I carry it with 12rd mag..

I own several, bigger guns. I like the ease of carrying this and the barrel length. In a compact size I own an HK2000sk, Beretta compacts, Glock 26 and 19. I handled the Shield, XD and standard 365 and chose this, I like how it conceals. When carrying, I feel this will work very well. It's not that my others won't, but different guns for different situations.

I out the Hogue grip sleeve on my XL the week Hogue finally released them. Like all Hogue sleeves, it took a bit of work and swearing to get it in place.

It fits perfectly, gives me just that little extra I needed to fill my palm, and does not interfere at all with any functions of the firearm.

In order to actuate the stock mag release button I needed to rotate my P365X in my hand, which made me vulnerable while doing mag swaps. I extended my magazine release button and now I no longer need to rotate the P365X to actuate the mag release button. An extended magazine release button isn't for everyone, but it might address your issue. Check it out.

A common trick for installing bicycle handgrips on the handlebars is to apply hair spray to the grips and handlebar. It makes the rubber grips slippery and easy to install. But once the alcohol evaporates the tacky hair spray keeps the grips from moving. This might help with installing the Hogue grip.
