Been researching after market mag for my 23. Considering ETS mags. Great reviews. Anyone had experiences with ETS, good or bad??? Thanks!!

I've had good luck with ETS. I use them in my G17 and G22 competitions guns. I use Glock, ETS and PMags. I rate them in that order, at least for me.

I have had nothing but bad luck with ETS G43 magazines. And ETS customer service was also bad. I won't waste my money on anymore ETS products.

I've tried aftermarket glock mags, they're not as good. Glock mags aren't expensive or hard to get, I don't see a reason to buy aftermarket . beyond that, every thing I've tried adding to a factory glock mag has only ever made them less reliable , base plates and extensions ect. At this point I have no interest in messing with issues caused by trying to save $10, not worth the headache.

I've got glock magazines that have been in constant use for 10 years and work fine. Can't say the same for others I've tried.

In my experience the Magpul magazines have been perfect for my 9mm Glocks. Just as reliable and about 1/2 the cost. I don't know if they make them for 40 S&W though.

GLOCK, KCI AND ETS magazines have never given me problems. I would avoid the old PW mags. (Lots of issues). I have never had a Magpul Glock mag but their reputation is good.

The KCI mags work better than the MagPul PMags do for me. I have not had any issues with the KCI G19 and G17 magazines, though I still stick with OEM for EDC.

Two of the problems with the MagPul PMags is that they will swell when let loaded and they sometimes have issues with the follower. The problems I have seen with the PMag followers are that they can lock the slide back with 1 round still in the mag or not lock the slide back at all.

Why not just get a Glock Mag? it’s one of the best part of a Glock
Nothing wrong with the Glock mags, but the KCI, Kahn, and Magpuls are about half the price or less, and work just as well.

Ive been using the same bunch of about 20 KCI mags in practice on a weekly basis for over 10 years now. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend them. The exception being their 33 rounders. Had problems with those, and they arent as reliable as the 15 and 17 rounders. To be fair, I haven't had great luck with factory Glock 33 rounders either. Best luck there has been with the 27 round Magpuls.

Mine have never been flawless. I have a number of them and normally dont get through any of them without some sort of stoppage. And that's regardless of what model or gen the gun is.

The KCI 33 rounders were pretty rough inside with a lot of "flash", and worked better once that was cleaned up, but were still more problematical than the factory 33 rounders. I even tried swapping the followers and springs out with factory, and still had problems.

I haven't had any issues with the standard capacity mags, of any make though, and the KCI mags are the deal there.

The Magpul 27 rounders have been 100%, and that's what I normally carry as my reload. I trust them over the factory 33 rounders.

I load them to 31rd and never had an issue

I prefer to stick with OEM when possible. I've never used a magpul mag in a glock, but I know in my M&P, they didnt sit flush and it irritated tf out of me. That being said, I've used many magpul mags in my rifles without issue.

I have used ETS mags before as practice mags. Though as easy as glock mags are to get, I would stick with a glock mag if it was me.

I use that Italian brand alot, Metgar! good stuff

I've had great luck with standard factory mags. I was gifted a magpul G17 mag and it was very unreliable and made its way to the trash can at the range. There were some mags from somewhere (I honestly don't know the origin) that were floating around in iraq for the G19 that were horrible too, any that were found were thrown away immediately. Can't speak to any other manufacturer because I plan to just use factory mags moving forward, given my experiences.

I think I have 15 or 16 OEM Glock 17 magazines, some of them from the early generations. Even with the older ones all I’ve done is drop in Wolff extra power magazine springs to make them good as new. They have all worked with no issues.

I know many shooters have had great luck with aftermarket magazines. Over the years I have had such hit and miss luck when buying non OEM mags I just don’t want to spend the $$ and risk disappointment anymore. :(

Whichever maker you choose, I hope your magazine choice works out .

Stay safe.

Get the factory Glock and have done with it. Then don't mod it.
If you really have to save a buck, a buddy uses Oriental sourced mags for practice.
The only thing wrong with Glock mags is their poly cladding; it really restricts their potential capacity, and it is an issue that Gaston may, or may not, choose to address.

alright…. you guys are going to hate me. But, when I think of after market mags. I think of Eagle Clear mags for Ruger 10/22. Yeah I’m from the 90’s

I've had good luck with Glock mags. :D

Seriously, I went through the AWB and used a lot of different aftermarket mags because that was all that was available at remotely reasonable prices. I can say that I've regretted nearly every aftermarket mag purchase I've ever made. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but that's been my experience.

Now I buy OEM mags. The only exception is that I will sometimes buy MecGar if they are the OEM supplier for a specific model gun and if I have trouble getting OEM mags for a gun.

Talked with a guy at SHOT Show some years back who worked at Glock for awhile. He said that Gaston was well aware of the issue and was not willing to change the mag design. I have thought about it and I think that overall I'm willing to take the capacity hit in exchange for the other benefits that the cladding provides.
