Has anyone used a KRG Bravo Chassis on a Rem 700? It looks like it come with the spacers and long screws for adjusting length of pull. Is it worth the price? Also I shoot single shot so no need for a mag, does anyone know if a cover for the mag well is available, KRG does not sell one.

I can not speak for the rem 700 Bravo Chassis but I have the one for the Tikka T3X and it came with the LOP spacers and screws.

As for the mag well cover you might be able to find a flush mag with a single shot follower.

Bravos are good chassis. You said you single load which indicates bench or f class type shooting

the bravo is not heavy, and the polymer forend has a bit of flex in it. Under the polymer is an aluminum backbone, but the polymer inself presents a little bit of flex. Edit for clarity: the flex is from attaching a bipod or tripod to the polymer and the influence of any lateral forces (uneven terrain or really the tripod)

the aluminum backbone is solid and the polymer for end works well. If you attach a Tripod to the attachment point you will see a bit of a wiggle of the polymer flexing

My krg X-ray custom gun is a consistent 1/2” to 3/4” 308 off a bipod with a rear bag. I think with a bit more rigidity in the attachment of my bipod I can get that 1/2” to be more consistent and reduce the number of those 3/4 groups

depending on accuracy demands, barrel, and front and rear rests this may or may not matter to you. I’m going to upgrade my X-ray with an aluminum forend that should reduce the flex significantly

I worked for a custom rifle builder for a short time and built several rifles for local law enforcement. They used the Bravo chassis on most of those.

Here is another.

I have a cheap plastic insert that went in an AR magazine on top of the regular follower and spring.

I do not find one for an AICS but it might be worth searching for.

A bit further off topic, but a few years ago I needed a better single shot platform for my Mauser 98 Wehrmann target rifle -- the wooden block it came with left a gap at the front that prevented smooth ejection. I sealed the bottom of the receiver with tape, poured in some melted wax and took this to a casting foundry to convert into brass. It fits in from below and is held in place with the magazine spring.

I don't know where you are getting any flex in the fore end unless you didn't install all the screws into it. All of my KRG chassis are rock solid with no flexing at all. You can also add weight to the chassis on the front or the rear if you want more weight.
The aluminum backbone is the same for all of their Remington 700 chassis, as well as the fore end's. The only difference is the buttstock portion, and you can swap them out if you want to upgrade.

An interesting rifle, I have only seen a couple in person, plus a "forester's rifle" with plugged magazine well but sporting stock. Yours is 8.15x46R?

Will a chassis increase accuracy over a Remington factory stock? Thanks for the replies keep them coming. Thanks again

My bipod attachment flexes

I attached pic rails to the front and as a tripod support. It is very noticeable on a tripod. My wobble zone on a tripod is a bit bigger than with an aluminum forend like my kids ruger precision rimfire or my ar15.

The polymer gives a little when the bipod or tripod is attached. Prone it’s not super noticeable, but I’m weird positions where the bipod is taking a bit more uneven pressure or off a tripod it shows up.

I can still hit a full ipsc at 750yds 10/10 off the tripod (stage at a match in October), I just have to build a better position to dampen that wobble

the question is though, will you notice how you shoot? I suspected it before I got my tripod, I confirmed it with the tripod

I suspect off a bench rest style rig you won’t notice at all

It's a good, not great, chassis/stock. It won't hold you back until you get pretty dang good.

I've been waffling back and forth on picking one up for awhile.

I know it's light for a chassis, but am unsure if it'll be too heavy for my hunting rig.

But now that I've got an Abolt for a hunting rig, I can go heavy with my 700. I'll pick one up in the future when finances allow.

I've been happy with my Bravo, but it does have a little bit of weight with my setup.

Mine is a Tikka T3 with the adjustable height buttpad, extra spacers, Hardcore Gear scope base, Seekins rings, Zeiss scope, Harris bipod, an AAC brake and AAC suppressor. I swapped out the plastic shroud and added a bolt handle which brings the weight to right at 13lbs unloaded and without a mag. Pics below, as well as a vid of the bolt handle and shroud swap.
