Before I get blasted, yes, I used the search function. Anyways, going through a couple guns I inherited from my grandpa, and there is a Marlin 989 micro groove 22, but there is no magazine with it. Any ideas where I could find one besides eBay? Got ripped off there once and refuse to even look there. Do any fairly modern Marlin 22 magazines work in this model rifle? I did find the date code, looks like it was born April of ‘65.

I got my 989 when I was 7 years old. My dad cut 2” off the stock to fit me. When I was about 14 we added the cut section back on.
When my son was 7, I cut the 2” off again, and then added it back on about the same age for him, LOL. I’ve rebuilt the bolt assembly once, replacing worn parts and installing new springs.
I have no idea how many thousands of rounds it’s fired. 25,000?
