I have a G.F. Stormer Herzberg drilling with a missing forestock. Any idea where I could buy one or obtain the wood and latch to make one

I hate to say it, but those drillings were usually semi-custom hand fitted guns made loosely around a central design. They made no spare parts for them and any parts you would find are extremely unlikely to fit without a lot of work. Even a fore end latch, if you could find one and verify it is the same make and general model/time period, will take alot of time and work to fit. If you can't do it yourself it's likely gonna cost more than the gun is worth to have it done

Welcome to THR.

The European drillings and up (I have seen some with 4 barrels) are usually handmade, custom, one at a time guns. There usually aren't spare parts made by the original artisan that I am aware of. Even if the artisan is still making firearms it is a struggle. The wood can probably be replicated by you or someone more qualified if you have the funds. So replacing the stock itself isn't that big of a problem, the latch is.

Thanks for the information I don’t believe that I will fine the latch so since I have done some stock work I guess I will make latch and stock. It won’t be original but it should work I don’t intend to shoot it.
