I know.....I know.....sorry....but...

I am GLAD that I purchased the 2nd APP that will be dedicated to short brass (pistol 44 Magnitus to Ninemmmmm).

I am NOT saying I will decp 9 or 40 before the wash.....but maybe! The four banger tube setup holds 54 three fifty seven cases. Takes a minute to load.

If you have not purchased an APP, you are wasting valuable time (yours!!!).

I might get a 3rd!

Great value at the $69 I paid for mine.

I've had mine for a couple month now and did a run of 1200 9mm brass...size and bell, in just 2 or 3 hours. Also did a 1000 223 remington, FLR without the expander, Lee collett for the necks. I don't usually crimp .223 but these are blasters that will rattle around in ammo cans so I used my FCD on them. I even used the APP for this. Obviously, it's not safe to use the drop tube but hand feeding them on to the case pusher one at a time is SOOO much faster than hand feeding them in and out of a regular shell holder.

Can't wait to try sizing cast bullets with it.

Put on my new Inline Handle for the Lee APP

@roque5 ......Is the Inline brand just the roller handle part, or is it the entire handle( roller and "y" bracket)...?

I have an Inline roller handle for my Dillon 550 that I didn't like as much as the Dillon roller,
wondering if just the roller part would fit on the APP...?

Only the roller handle/hardware and I drilled and tapped the existing brackets, the instructions said one could just drill a 3/8 hole and insert the new roller handle but wth I had the time.

Starting with a FULL four tube collator, deprimed 296 crimped primer cases in 19 min 26 seconds. Did not stop the timer to load the case collator 7 times (with 308, collator holds 37 cases). This is not a world record, but a trial run! :)

Bringing this thread to the top of the heap with more good news.

Swaging - there IS a reason to sort by headstamp when swaging. Can feel the difference between case manufacturers. Simply sort cases, adjust for each manufacturer, and end up with EXCELLENT swaged primer pockets.......every time.

Swaged 900+ 3ought8 cases in a little over an hour this evening.

APP is truly a TIMEsaver with excellent results.

Thanks for the tips....especially GW Staar.

When I got mine, I thought it was a POS, boxed it up to go back, then thought I have some 45 ACP I need to deprime, so out of the box, and in less than 5 minutes, I was depriming, now I love it. Still rely on the 550, the Lyman Turret, and the RCBS Rockchucker, but have found a use for the App.

At my house, the APP will probably never do anything more the deprime and swage. Cuts the initial brass prep time to 15% of normal. Deprime, clean, sort, swage....and BAG!! (don't forget to label!! LOL!)

Ok, I am looking at buying one of these. I see lots of accessories but I'm not sure what to get. I would mostly deprime, size, and bell 9mm and .45 acp. Can someone please help me to list what I need/want to buy in addition to the press?

Think just the special shellholder for the press for 9mm and 45 everything else will be in your die sets

I got the kit that came with the Swagger. I also got the bulge buster for the cases shot out of my glock. But The RCBS die cleaned them up nice. Plus i changed the barrel so I no longer get bluge, so that was kind of a waste for me.
Midway has the basic kit for 80 bucks right. You would need the appropriate dies, and mounting hardware,it didnt come with bolts.. I mounted my own bin to my bench to catch the cases. Hope that helps.

Midsouth has it for like 50 cents cheaper...

Lee breech lock die mounts. Get a dozen. They’re cheap and you need one for each die you plan to use plus one for the die you forgot about.

Just the die sets for the 9 and 45. Some brands of dies come with a shellholder - some may not fit.

Lee X-Press Shellholder Pack of 11 (midwayusa.com) Full set of shell holders by Lee.

Couple of items....

Can actually add a tip/trick for the APP brethren - instead of using the correct XPress shellholder for 308 size brass, I use the 32 special variant. Why? Looser tolerance lets the shell slide to/thru the shell holder on the way to depriming.

Did I mention, for anybody on the fence of purchasing......MidSouth has Deluxe APP on sale for 79.49!!

Resurrecting this thread.

To date, there are TWO new owners of Lee APP's in my neck of the woods.

After showing how much TIME these save, the purchases are a no brainer.

I used mine tonight - deprime 210 cases......I spent more time loading four tubes full than pulling the handle.

I was trying to send my long time reloader brother my extra APP, and he refused. Ooooh well
