Am always looking for the ultimate pocket pistol. Have them all and my latest was an ANMT 380 Backup -Single Action. Despite its heavy weight, unless you have a mag with the pinky grip it will hurt. I have the Glock and many Smiths/Colts. The Smith M-38 and Agent with a Shroud are super but it all comes back to the Mustang Pocketlite. Know it’s Single Action and carrying with a round in the chamber, cocked and locked is not recommended but…… overall it’s hard to beat. Comments?

If you train yourself to master the single-action manuel of arms, the Mustang/P238/MicroCarry/911 are the hands-down best carry autos ever in their size class.

Dont currently have a Mustang, but Ive carried them in the past. I am rocking the slightly bigger Govt. 380 and P938 these days.

If you need extra magazines, the Metalform units are GTG.

I put 100 rounds through one of my Pocketlite Mustangs tonight, still love it and wish they still made them. Nothing wrong with carrying cocked and locked by the way.

When Mrs Canasta bought her Sig P238 & added 380 to the family I figured I should get me a 380 too-enter the Colt Pocketlite.
Both are great little guns, right out of the boxes the sig has much better sights & the Colt had a slight edge on trigger pull. I went to work on mine & sent the slide off to Novaks & had them mill the useless nub of a front site off, dovetail & install night sights. While sites were getting done I installed a titanium trigger. I had been told the Mustang had a plastic trigger & that was not true but it was a good upgrade & gave me a chance to get internals polished up. Carried it for a while until I got a P938 & not so much after that, I'll still grab when I need something small & quick. The P938 was carried until the P365 came along-just the progression I've gone through as better smaller pistols come out.
As much as I like "Sally", If I had to do it over I'd go Sig over the Colt.

I share your appreciation of the Colt Mustang and SIG P238. My Mustang has the better trigger pull and slightly more rounded features while the P238 has the better sights but with a few more angular edges to it. Both are super reliable, possess decent accuracy, and are a sheer delight to shoot!

Had the Pocketlite, sold it, bought a Colt Pony .380. Sold the Pony and have been carrying a Kahr P380 for the last few years.

I carry cocked and locked all day every day... Just not with the one in my pocket. Since the OP mentioned "pocket pistol" I wonder if that's why he said C&L isn't recommended.

I do like my P238, especially after ditching the plastic trigger (definitely plastic in these) for an aluminum one. It feeds everything I've stuffed in it, including handloads that wouldn't run in a Bodyguard or LCP.
