Found this NIB King Cobra Carry in a gun shop in a glass case. Paid a little higher than MSRP but it's worth it to me. Don't think my Taurus 856 will recover from the shock: "There goes there neighborhood".

It's very shiny except along the sight radius, where it is an understated matt finish all the way to the brass bead front sight. Double action is very smooth and runs a little past 8 pounds on my cheap spring trigger pull scale. Single action is a crisp 4 7/8 pounds. The only thing it needs is leather, which is on the way. And ammo :)

Yesterday I ran a cylinder of some old stock PPU 158 gr SJHP just for function. It functioned :) Realistically I'll have to shoot it for accuracy with some gold dot 135s and some ranger bonded 130s for carry time. But it would serve with 357s too. You know you're not shooting a 38. The rubber hogues are ugly but they definitely work and its comfortable to shoot. 25 ounces empty.

I paid $1.00 under MSRP for my King Cobra Target; it is what it is - like you it was worth it to me as well.

My King Cobra has been a joy to shoot; enjoy yours.

I love mine! Get you a Kramer holster for it. The best IMO
