Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Two boxes at just over 25 dollars a box of 20 with tax.
We left two boxes for seed.
Not too bad.......especially nowadays.

Do you remember, not to long ago they were $8.00 a box???
Even when supply catches up with demand, the price stays up.
They get all they can take from MFG to Middleman to retailer, and course that has set the poor
and average man away from the sport or hobby. It worries me with so many that will be buying
guns during this urgent time, only to find out ammo is priced to ridiculous or for a sacrifice.
Even hunting licenses have set the poor man at home and just wishing, it used to be $25 to hunt everything
now it is over $100. I know so many that can't afford that so I hire them to work for me enough to
get a license.

This week: 2x magazines for my Bersa Thunder .22 LR. Had been looking for two years and finally found them at Tombstone Tactical. One 15 round double stack magazine for my Bersa Thunder Plus from GrabAGun. Six month search for that one. Also a 15 round magazine for my Glock 48 Black from my LGS.

Also ordered ammo for my .30 S&W Shield EZ .30 Super Carry. 2x Remington HTP 20 count, and 1x Blazer 50 Count.

I called 3 gun shops before noon today.
3rd one had a pound of RL23.
They also had Varget ( I bought 2), h4831 and H110.

I bit my tongue at the price, but pulled the CC.

Last week ,( yes, I know that's more than 3 days),I got a magneetospeed chrony and a Henry .44 mag.

I was at Academy looking for some personal protection 9mm but the prices was way too high. So I got a box of 9mm hp reloading bullets. I was still in shock when I saw the price on the bullets $36 for 100. Yep that's .36 cents each before I start to reload. I don't like carrying reloads in my protection gun but I'm not paying $2+ per bullet for protection rounds.

In a roundabout way. I just ordered a small funnel with a long skinny spout to make it easy to dump premeasured charges into my blackpowder revolver cylinders. I just got a new 1851 Navy in 36 caliber and the funnel I was using was just a little too large to use easily.

BURNS MY ***BUTT***
Not really that bad of a burn, but I have become very concerned about the cost of ammo
and reloading equipment is leaving so many people behind, like those who go from
paycheck to paycheck.
I know some and do help many who need it.
Here it is, from today's purchase:
ONLY 50 rifle cases cost $119.99 >>>>>> who ever started the .99 Cents thing, I hope they come up 1 Cents short some day
taxes $6.36
shipping $11.80
total = $138.00 >>>>>> Never thought I would see the day.
For a 300 Win Mag, Nosler cases, feeds a Ruger Precision, got lots more Nosler, just replacing those loaded.
Doesn't hurt me but how many more could be in our brotherhood if they could afford it, and the rush price will remain
as standard, until another bump comes.
Same with hunting and some people going cheap on home defense.
My main complaint is, if -I- sell you a pistol, I say $300, if a gun dealer sells you one it is $299.99, like we don't know
the difference, in One Cent!!! or $1.00, at $299.00. Please Forgive my whining.

Placed my Birthday order with Midway, 8mm Mauser dies and bullet puller to replace defective primers in a FEW hundred old surplus, Lee turrets, 150gr 308 and 70gr 224 bullets, 5 packs of plastic ammo boxes for the Grendel and Creedmoor, AICS mag for the Howa 1500, replacement expander-decapping pin for 223,270 and 30-06 and an adjustable charge bar for the Lee disk powder measure. I wound up adding enough to my pre birthday order to double the dollar amount, it's amazing how much more I spend to save money:(
