So! Saw this on Taylor's flash sale; really don't need another, but when did THAT ever matter!! Decided to have Mike work his magic; he suggested the contrasting screws, which I really like!
Dang things too purty to shoot, mebby??!!??
NAH!

Thanks John!!
Thanks you guys!!
This particular specimen is very nice and labeled a White 60 Army. The parts seemed to be a "step above" the norm, the finish excellent!!! The hammer was as hard as a s.s. Ruger hammer (HARD!!!!)!!! I was very impressed!
Along with the Outlaw Mule package, John got the interference pins and hammer shims. The thing is a beast!!! Dressed up with the white grip, I thought the blued screws would be appropriate. It's a "Bar-B-Q " gun right out of the box!!!

Here's another pic.

Oh, my!:D

Hey Mike, did you run into any problems putting the action shield on that hard hammer?

No, what I do is cut the slot and then use a diamond rotary file (dremel) to "drill" the hole. For those reading this, that is backwards of what I normally do.

I have a jig that I mount the hammer on and use the drill press. Then I'll cut the slot. Rather than mess up drill bits on really hard hammers though, I'll do the above process freehand. Takes a few more minutes but it works.

Dang right he do! Almost seems like magic what these here THR pistol smiths do. Well all I gots to say is, that thing is too pretty NOT to shoot. I sure like the fluted cylinder. I was shooting my old Euroarms/DGG '60 today, they sure are nice handling, nice shooting pistols. Pack a pretty good punch too. Mine is kind of a Ugly Duck, but I've had it forever, she's accurate and never jams. Been with me in some far off corners of the wilderness too.

What a beautiful pistol that thing is.

Awesome, love the white look, absolutely beautiful, can someone send me their "goonerized" pistol so I can test it out for a bit, wanna make the decision to get one or two of mine done...
Thanks

Methinks, it is perfectly reasonable to have any pistol done by any of the fine pistol smiths. Not a tough decision. It is worth the money, as it only jacks the total expense of the pistol into a price range that would be more than reasonable if you could buy the pistol "out of the box", or "off the shelf" in that condition and level of reliability and functionality.

As it stands now, BP revolvers are still in the bargain range, but you pay for that bargain with bad timing, cap-jamming, or other problems. In the future, if I every buy another revolver, I'll have it shipped directly to a good pistol smith, and then on to me after the magic is done.

Having a pistol done that works fine, or "okay" that you really like and have had for years, takes it to a whole other level. Better than getting a new revolver, at a fraction of a new revolver price. Not a tough decision!

Tell you what I will do...I'll save you some hard earned cash by advising you to ship multiple guns to Goon at the same time. Because after you send him one you will be unable to resist sending more. That's just fact.
