1.25 million guns sales/month may be the bottom in a “new normal”

The fallacy of using NICS checks as a guide to gun sales is evident from the fact that not all sales require a check. There are twenty states where a carry permit suffices. Additionally, most states run a NICS check on permit applicants and California requires them for ammo sales. As an example, South Carolina issued 158,726 Concealed Weapons Permits in 2021. That figure includes renewals (every five years), but approximately 53,000 were new issues.

I don't understand the continued uptick in gun sales. It seems to me that by now, everyone who wanted a gun already has one.
Well somehow I still have disposable income at the end of every month. "Who knows how high inflation is going to go, so I gotta spend that extra $$$ before inflation eats it all up..." he told his suspicious soon-to-be-ex-wife.

I've always been baffled by gun sales. Much like hand tools they pretty much last forever. Id bet less than 5% ever got "worn out" since the 70s. And unlike tools they are rarely lost. (I run a shop. Tools walk off)

New designs for the most part still use designs that John Moses Browning patented so it's not like TV or the car world where we are getting an exponentially improved product every few years..... the most purchased rifle is a Stoner designed gun from the 50s and one of, if not the, number one handgun is over 100 years old.

Idk. I dont get it. I like it....but it's still odd to me

Its because guns are like potato chips no matter how many it still is not enough.
